Scott and I rolled into Alberton after an exhausting 162 km ride on the Confederation Trail, traveling from Summerside to the North Point Lightstation and back to Alberton. We arrived just before 8 PM and desperately needed a place to eat and relax.
I walked into The Albert & Crown Pub in full cycling gear, hoping to grab a meal, only to find out they were closed for a private party. I was in shock as it was the only place in town for a good meal and a brew. Despite being closed to the public, they graciously looked after us and served us some fantastic food.
Their amazing hospitality and willingness to accommodate us, even when they werenât open to the public, made all the difference. Thank you so much, The Albert & Crown Pub, for your kindness and for ensuring we had a great end to a long day.

   Read moreI really wanted to be able to leave a good review but alas, The wife is not happy. She ordered a large Greek salad, which is not large actually but that is not the issue. It was essentially a twelve dollar bowl of romaine, with a very small amount of cukes, tomatoes and olives, and maybe, maybe almost two teaspoons of feta. Everything was fresh and washed, that part was good, however when buying a meal sized salad, one needs more heft, and the whole point of a Greek salad is the feta cheese. Just not a good enough effort here, and from experience eating out a lot, if you want a new restaurant business to succeed you must exceed. My club sandwich and fries were good, not large portions...
   Read moreJust passing through Alberton yesterday and stopped in for supper. Unique little spot - very friendly server (didnât get her name đ„Ž). Prices are very reasonable and portions are huge. Best onion rings I have ever had. Also had the Philly Cheese Steak on a Kaiser bun. It was so full with lots of caramelized onions and sweet peppers. Everything about this place was excellent - service, food, price. Will try to go...
