Golden Lake Restaurant — Restaurant in Arborg

When we dined IN Golden Lake, the food & service was very good. However subsequently we ordered take away twice -- and we were VERY disappointed in the food. The chop suey we ordered had so much liquid dripping from the Styrofoam box that they tied a plastic bag around it (measured more than 1/2 cup of juices n the bag upon getting it home). Why they did not just pour it off, we do not understand!

The first time that we were disappointed in the take out, we let it go. We gave them a second chance to deliver the great food we had eaten inside the restaurant and were disappointed again.

To their credit, they are very polite and did offer to replace the unappetizing dishes, though we declined to drive back to town.

Though we would try eating IN the restaurant once more if we were in Arborg, we will not order take away again. The Styrofoam boxes...

Always loved this resturant. Now run by Grandma and Momma Chen. This family resturant is a must try if you haven't already! Great atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, and the food is excellent!! Speaks for it self.

If wanting to support the community, and a family who has overcome the hardest things imaginable. This resturant is 100% best in town!!! Clean, fresh, healthy, or ;) sticky, always friendly & welcoming! Would make for a great business...

If you keep in mind you're getting Chinese food in Arborg, Manitoba, you won't be disappointed. The service alone (and the fact it's the only Asian restaurant in town) will definitely have me...
