This place is a hidden gem for anyone who appreciates real Indian cuisine. The tandoor dishes were outstanding, juicy, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection with that unmistakable smokiness you only get from a proper clay oven. You can really taste the difference.

What I loved most was the authenticity of the gravies. Each curry had its own unique character, clearly made from scratch with traditional spices. The butter chicken was rich and creamy without being overly sweet, and the lamb rogan josh had deep, bold flavors that lingered in the best way.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. You can tell they take pride in what they do. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends looking for a truly authentic Indian...

I've always wanted to visit an Indian restaurant where the Owner is also the Head Chef, and AARKUL Diverse Indian Cuisine in Cedar, Nanaimo, is that place! The Chef is incredibly knowledgeable about all kinds of Indian cooking, and you can taste his expertise in every dish. This restaurant offers the best Indian cuisine I've ever had in Nanaimo, and I keep going back for more.

If you're a fan of Indian street food, you must try the Alu Chat and Samosa Chat—they are absolutely delicious! The flavors are so authentic and vibrant. The service is excellent too, with friendly and attentive staff. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a cozy meal. 5/5 stars. Thank you, Chef, for providing the best Indian cuisine in town....

There’s something incredibly special about this place from the moment you walk in, you’re wrapped in warmth. The atmosphere is calm, inviting, and filled with small thoughtful details that make you feel like you’re somewhere familiar, even on your first visit.

But the real magic is in the food. You can feel the chef’s love and respect for the art of cooking in every bite. The way flavours are layered with gentle warmth from ginger, the freshness of herbs, the perfect touch of spice it’s balanced, bold, and deeply comforting. Every dish arrives like a piece of art: beautifully plated, fragrant, and full of soul.

It’s not just a meal here — it’s a feeling. A quiet joy. The kind of place you’ll find yourself thinking about long after...

Sorry to say not at all happy with the food overall. Murg Afghani was 18.25$ and gave very small portion almost half size of the whole chicken where as other restaurants give whole chicken with rice in cheaper price. Dal makhani was absolutely tasteless with no smell of butter. Lamb rogan josh need to be properly cooked. Smell of tomato was still coming from the lamb with no rogan rather it was just a lamb tomato curry half cooked The girl who served us didn’t know about the murg afghani portion she should know about the items before suggesting people so service was bad. Kashmiri pulao is not like a pulao rather vegetable rice. I would not recommend people to go there and spend unnecessary money.
