Five of us went for lunch and it was so good. We had made a reservation for 12:30am which was wise as we had stopped in once before a few years ago but there was no room. We ordered a large plate of their shoe-string fries to share and they were tasty and ample for sharing. At the table we tried: gf or “naked” versions of the salmon burger and the tandoori chicken. They were served on a bed of arugula with onions, tomatoes and dressing which all were very good. Others had the smoked meat sandwich on rye with a kombucha mustard and raved about it. Our vegetarian ordered the falafel wrap and it was large and he said great. The lady server was friendly, helpful and efficient l. Prices were reasonable and the menu had lots of appealing options. We sat on the patio and they provided umbrellas for shade. We would certainly recommend this little cafe as a great place to eat 👍

What a delight this restaurant is. Incredible, interesting fine dining in a tiny town! One of the best restaurant meals we've ever eaten, and we've been to a LOT of restaurants! I had the croquette coquette - creamy portabella mushroom + bechamel ball with a crispy nutty paprika panko shell and sherry cream sauce, along ,with spiced-wine poached organic bosc pear with cambazola, proscuittoo, and homemade sesame breadstick. The pear was OTHER WORLDLY it was so good! Another highlight was my husband's appetizer: Aubergine (eggplant) creme brulee with sweet & savoury glass top, beet tapioca crisps, focaccia toast, and fresh endive. The entire menu was like this. I want to go back to BC just so we can eat here again!!! It was one of the most wonderful meals I've ever eaten! And on a gorgeous garden patio to boot.

This place has good vibes, and the food is impressive. The desert selection is even better. We did have some issues with the place being busy and having to wait a while, but the staff was super nice and still had a good overall experience. We were surprised with some of the spice levels on our plates, like the beets, and the spice dog. Although in hindsight, the name should have gave that one away. I recommend the deserts and was pleasantly surprised with the variety and diet-friendlyness of them.

The most aggravating dining experience ever! The server with the rattail was the rudest and slowest server I have ever experienced. He was too busy chatting with a local customer (who ordered a coffee to go) to run our plates of food. So we watched as our food got cold, just a few feet away from us. Eventually, after our food was ignored for close to 10 minutes we decided to ask for it to go and paid for it ($35 + 50¢ for the container.) The cook packages it up after he scolds her that "it took too long". Like it was her fault?! We again watch it sit there for many minutes before I personally collected it from the kitchen window as the cook informs me where I can find take-out utensils. We thank them as we leave and are met with a dry "yeah." I will absolutely never step foot in this place again. Atrocious behaviour from whom I suspect is the owner. Complete and utter disregard for good customers. Go...

My friend and I were cycling through Crawford Bay when we decided to stop for lunch. I have celiac disease, so I typically have to be quite careful about where and what I eat. The waitress was quite knowledgeable about the Gluten Friendly options. She informed me they did not have a GF bun, but they could do the burgers and sandwiches 'naked', but she also said they have a separate fryers and could do fries. I ordered a naked burger and some fries with a salad. At one point, I got up to check an information stand and happened to look into the Kitchen. The Chef was blowtorching a dish and adding bits to it; you could tell she knew and loved what she was doing. I thought that the dish looked really good and wished it was mine. Well, turns out it was mine! AND IT WAS PTOBABLY THE BEST BURGERBIVE EVER HAD. The fries were amazing as well... they were very thin and crispy!...
