Reds Bakery — Restaurant in Area A (Wynndel/Crawford Bay/Riondel)

I was driving towards the ferry about 7.30am , thinking I'd have to go without morning coffee when suddenly Red's Bakery caught my eye. In excitement I made a sharp u-turn and quickly realised I had hit the coffee jackpot. Nestled in big shady trees, this cute little spot offers the most delicious baked goods, sandwiches and barista coffee for a very reasonable price. As a fussy Australian who has been spoiled with a great coffee culture, I can hands down say this is the best coffee I've had on my year trip in Canada so far 🙌 The staff were super friendly and the service was quick even though people had ordered ahead of me. Holy heck this place is good. We have driven by it many times and I'm so happy that today we stopped to check it out. Where to start?!? The apple fritter was AMAZING. (So good I was only able to get a picture of it half eaten) The sausage roll. There's grainy dijon mustard AND sauerkraut in that puppy. D-lish. Haven't made it through the other treats yet, but if they taste as good a they look, they are going to be dynamite as well. The fact that this beautiful little bakery is open on a Sunday at 7:00am is absolutely amazing… In addition, you are welcomed by an incredible displays of freshly baked pastries, from chocolate croissant to raspberry scones, to ham and cheese danish + freshly prepared breakfast sandwiches with plentiful choice of toppings. The coffee and lattes are delicious and just right, the service is great, the location couldn’t be better.
