I've been having wonderful meals at the Intermezzo Wine Cellar for many years and when they opened The Bistro I just had to try it too. I am not disappointed. From the moment we walked in the service was wonderful. We were seated in the window with a beautiful view overlooking the lake. To add to the view, snowflakes were falling. Although the menu is not a large as the Intermezzo Wine Cellar there is something wonderful for everyone. I ordered the Ribeye with the scrumptious Dijon roasted potatoes. My starter was Flaming Chorizo with house made mustard dip and yum-yum sauce which I LOVE. I went to two lady friends and we rarely get to enjoy an evening out... this was a perfect. Looking forward to our next evening out.

Had a great experience here. Food was spot on. Service was friendly with very informed waiters with good suggestions to help you choose to your own tastes. All the food was good, but the pork chop was the best of the lot for us. I wanted to try dessert but was too full. The entry up narrow hall stairs does not present very well. Tables separated by curtains also does not present too well. So overall atmosphere is ok. It is not like the main Intermezzo. Food price is what you expect to have an actual chef make your food. And that is where Intermezzo shines. Such great food. Friend got me to try Escargot Casino... and I really liked it. Safron Risotto, Veal Scallopini, Moroccan Racknof Lamb, Tomahawk Pork Chop

Intermezzo Castle was my 194th eatery in Vernon on my quest to eat at every eatery in Vernon. Today my parents and I visited this location. My mom ate her first ever filet mignon ever. I ate escargot, bruschetta, rose wine, chocolate decadence, and iced tea for $60 CAD after tax and tip. We came during happy hour from 4pm-5pm. We were the first customers for the day so we were seated at the table by the window with a view of Swan Lake. My parents ate filet mignon, complimentary bread, cheesecake, sorbet, and risotto. Every dish was a home run. I highly recommend this spot. The staff were super friendly. 193 eateries down. 7 eateries left to go in Vernon.

Very pleasantly surprised. The service, our waitress, was fantastic. I could not rave enough about the food. All the food ordered came out at the same time for appetizers and as well for main meals. All appetizers, like wings, and meals were steaming hot. This made me very happy. I ordered the Beet, pear salad and it was amazing, so fresh with every detail of the salad impressive in flavour, crispiness, freshness, and presentation. For my main, I had the Beef Stroganoff. My family was worried since this pasta dish can be very hot and miss. Rare to have a good experience. The chef did an outstanding job. The best beef stroganoff any of us has ever tried. The pasta was made fresh in house. They cleverly made the dish so the sour cream was not mixed into the sauce. That way I mixed it as I go and it did not chunk up. The flavour was spot on. I strongly recommend anyone visiting Vernon, Kelowna, or any of the Okanogan area, to try out this restaurant at The Castle at Swan Lake hotel. I will never forget and will come next year even if we stay in Kelowna, we will at least stay here for a night. My family were all impressed with this meal as well l,...
