Tonight we went to the Raincoast Breads restaurant.
Our motorcycle camping trip had turned rainy so we were forced into finding a dry spot for the night at a local B&B.
After deciding our usual hotdogs and chocolate were not enough we saw a recommendation for a finer dining experience at a local restaurant.
When you hear restaurant you may think storefront, but we had recently learned that nothing in Haida Gwaii is how you imagine it to be.
We knew we had picked a fancier meal and we knew we were lucky to even get a reservation so after walking down the road and seeing the sign through a gap in the hedge we slowly became aware we may have lucked into something special.
We arrived to a friendly Chef Kevin, a very smily Dina, and the intimate feeling of a personal home being opened to the public. The restaurant was already amazing!
Anyways! So we don’t ruin a one of a kind experience for anyone attending, let’s just say that the locally farmed, sourced,and foraged chefs tasting menu was right at the top of our best dining experiences.

Read moreWe thoroughly enjoyed a Thursday night pizza special as a family of 3 last week. The butter chicken pizza was incredible and we got a couple of amazing cookies thrown in to try! The owner was super lovely and very responsive to FB messenger and texting for our order/pickup. I think Thursday takeout is just an off season special thing that's on right now but if you get a chance to try it - do it! We can't wait to come and dine the full experience...
