TL;DR - slow service, okay food, not worth the wait

We got a table right away, but it took 15 minutes to even get menus, another 15 before our order was taken, and another 25 minutes before we could even get a glass of water. 50 minutes to get a glass of water... which was then never refilled. And the place was quite hot, we were seated directly in a sun beam. So water would have been appreciated.

Half the items on the menu were unavailable because two shipments hadn't come in. We understand these things happen, but from a customer experience perspective, probably better to communicate that up front (when we're first seated and menus provided), rather than after we've decided what we want only to repeatedly be told they don't have any of those things.

Food was dry and overcooked - except the fries, which were soggy and bland. Needed salt, but there was none to be found on any of the tables. And since no one ever came to check how the food was or if we needed anything, we had to poke our heads into the kitchen to ask for salt. Saw other diners doing the same to ask for things. Burgers didn't taste like much. Maybe the Indian dishes on the menu have more flavour?

My boyfriend and I ordered some food while we were visiting Bella Coola mid September there and we got food here two nights during our 9 day stay. And the food was really good, except the fries, but we got burgers, fish and salads and it was fresh and awesome! The service was great, super friendly and welcoming staff. We saw one of the park rangers working there who also worked at the Berlarko Wildlife Viewing Platform, funny story. But, I highly recommend it! They take orders up until closing too, so we were super happy we got food after our long, exhausting busy day. (We didn't feel like cooking after our adventures). So I read some reviews and talked a big family group of about 12 of us to come for dinner while we're all down visiting in the valley. The food was excellent. The service was excellent and the owner came out and checked on us after he has slaved away to get all our food out at the same time. They were super efficient even with one waitress at the time. She was working double time for us. The Indian food was great!! And everyone that ordered western enjoyed there food as well. My wife ordered fish and chips. The portion was huge.
