Sehmi Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Area F (Cherry Creek)

Our new favourite place. Just as you pull into Port Alberni look off to your left. You will see timber Lodge, RV and Campground and as you’re driving, make that turn and stop in the timber Lodge sushi. this place is absolutely incredible from the ambiance of the place. You could sit on the deck you could watch the TV. You could sit in a separate room. There is so many places for you to enjoy your dinner. Parking is very ample so again no worries about seating or a place to park now let’s talk about the staff. The staff the lady serving the food. You cannot believe how fast they get to the table and how welcoming they are. Freshwater a quick drink and then your meals comes out and wait till you see what they bring out for you. I highly recommend this place for everything that it has to offer. Don’t pass this stop here in Port Alberni. Sushi is where to go and this is the sushi place to go to. I should also mention they have other things on their menus like french fries and things like that for the people that might not like the sushi. I will throw up a couple of photos. Update: I go for sushi 1 maybe 2 times a month, sometimes it can get to 3-4 😁. Always receive great service from the wait staff, and always enjoy our food.

I love the food, even through the transfer is f ownership. Know some people didnt enjoy the transition. We didn't realize we arrived a good bit before opening. They seared us despite being early. Waitress: both serving us were friendly and attentive, which was appreciated Food: I always enjoy the little sides, miso soup, ebi sunomono (🤦🏽‍♀️I'm sorry for spelling 🤷🏽‍♀️), tampura (prawn & veggie). And of course the main teriyaki chicken and sushi rolls (BC roll, delicious traditional to area smoked salmon) are always enjoyed. I'm so disappointed on a couple levels . First I'd like to say the food is very good, probably best in port and this is why I'm so upset . I was enjoying my bento box eating away and then I bit into something hard in tha cabbage under my teriyaki chicken pulled it out of my mouth and discovered a piece of electrical wire . A strip . It's a piece that is pulled off the wire to reveal a bare wire . Black in color about 1/2an inch long or so . I gave it to the waitress and she took it to the back and that was it she completely ignored me and sent another girl to get my bill . No apologies nothing didn't say another word to us just completely ignored us . Ruined what was a great time . They have no shame and unfortunately it has ruined fun place to go for me .
