Great selection of both frozen and fresh shellfish, fish and other seafood-related things (spices, rubs, etc.) at reasonable prices and sold with a smile. This is our new go-to seafood shop, having recently moved from the mainland.
If you haven't been before, finding the actual shop can be somewhat confusing if you're not paying attention. Drive past the marina, the boat launch, and the trailer parking lot down the lane lines with chain link fence to Park at the store for free. The first time we went, we paid for parking at the marina by mistake. Not a huge deal, but if this helps, my work is done.
Oh, and do yourself a favor,: in addition to whatever seafood your buying, get a couple of the freshly prepared crab cakes...they are out of...

However I often find it a challenge to get a fair amount of info before making choices because they are usually very busy and let you know it. Perhaps they are used to catering to people who know exactly what they want and / or not needing to know details on the sourcing or preparing of items on offer like I do. To be fair, I have a lot of questions like wheres it from, when was it frozen, is it wild, does it meet my allergen requirements, etc..
Prices are often 5-15% higher than other shops.

   Read moreBeautiful location and very fresh fish. Unfortunately they are not allowed to sell fish heads for some reason. From a sustainability point of view, it will be very sad if they are being thrown away! From a cultural/tradition point of view, My husband and I are Norwegian and Chinese. In both of our cultures, fish head soup is very common and super tasty! I don't understand why a seafood store won't sell it. Top-notch sea food stores in Vancouver sells fish heads and leftover bone pieces, and many other sea food store we have visited does the same.
