My parents and I stopped in for a late lunch on our way home in late August. We got seated almost immediately and were able to order fairly quickly. But when a large group came in, we were basically ignored and had to wait longer than the large group, who ordered after us, to get our food. All we ordered was a bowl of soup, soup and salad and a thing of chicken fingers and fries. It was frustrating on everyone at the table that while we had ordered sooner than the larger group near us, we had to wait longer for our food. There was another table of three that had to wait even longer than our table, even though they had very likely ordered their food prior to us. I would have understood if the larger group had sat down and ordered prior to us, but orders should be sent out in the order that they are sent in, not by the largeness of a group. And honestly, the tables that had to wait should have something comped on their bills or given a free dessert. If it had been me, I would have paid for my drink and gotten something from the snack shop and ate in Hope instead. I doubt I will want to eat here again. And quite honestly, I could have gotten the exact same meal for a much cheaper price elsewhere.

Our server was wonderful, but the service...

Myself and a small group stopped by for dinner and across the board the reviews were pretty poor from our party.

For a place with above average pricing, we expected the food to be pretty decent. Portions were good, cannot complain about that.

I got the blue cheese burger and subbed the fries for poutine. The toppings/veggies for the burger were mint, but the patty itself was pretty tasteless and tough. Poutine was like French fry soup, again fairly tasteless.

My brother got the nachos, again portion was good for the large, but the cheese felt lacking because a good portion of it (maybe 1/4) was overcooked onto the paper resulting in tearing off paper with the nacho.

My girlfriend got her food and had ordered a side order topping, it never came and when the bill came and it was on it, the server was quick to blame the kitchen despite that being a servers issue (make sure order is correct).

We originally came because my girlfriend had a great experience merely a few days ago. She ordered the same dish and was disappointed this time around suspecting a different cook or something.

Overall, was an okay experience but for the money me myself I probably wouldn’t...

We ordered a Cajun salmon and there was nothing Cajun about it. It was super dry, with white stuff all over it. Some of the veggies were fresh and others were so dry, probably a few days old and reheated.

Beet salad had with slimy old salad leaves and weird sweet granola instead of the usual pecans. We sent it back as it was inedible. It wasn’t taken off the bill.

Fish tacos were drenched in mayo.

There was also a lot of flies and they were landing onto our food as we were eating. We dined inside, not outside. Not sure why there are flies inside.

Service was good. Drinks and coffee were fine too. But I’m still in shock about the food. We dine out a lot and we agreed that it was the worst dine out experience we’ve had in a long time.

This restaurant has a lot of potential. It’s the only restaurant for about hour and a half each way on the highway. It’s located in a beautiful resort, in a provincial park. Someone...

definitely a must try restaurant when you’re at manning park or just stopping by for some food. this place is absolutely amazing. there were four of us and we ordered 4 starters to share and we were so full by the end of our meal. the chicken wings were so tender and not dry at all. calamari were one of the best ones i’ve tried in a long time. the sauce that came along the calamari is probably my favourite part. salad was amazing too, i find the sauce a little on the saltier side. and lastly, the nachos were so good that we didn’t think we would finish the entire plate but wow the guacamole and salsa that came with it were so good we didn’t leave any bits behind. also the lady who took our order and served our food had such an amazing service, i think her name was charlotte? overall i really enjoyed my dining experience here, definitely will come back for a second time!

Went with my wife for a night at Manning Park. Had dinner and breakfast here. I would describe the food as very average and at times below. I had the tenderloin grilled cheese with poutine which sounds absolutely amazing on paper. The execution was not very good. It was very dry and hard to chew. Definitely could use an au jus to help it go down. The fries also had the same dryness that made them seem old. The gravy also wasn't hot enough and the cheese curds were still cold. Wife had the pork shoulder which she seemed to enjoy. All together average experience with average food. Nothing else around though so you don't really have any options.
