Wild Wing — Restaurant in Barrie

Today was my first experience at Wild Wing establishment, and I have to say that I will never return again. Our server was polite and courteous but had no clue how to deal with a disappointed customer. I ordered a Club Sandwich and fries. When I received my order I took one bite and it was hard to swallow. From the processed melted cheese to the frozen processed chicken patty to the half cooked bacon was just not edible and definitely not up to my standards of food quality. I placed my plate to the end of the table to be picked up as I could not eat it. I had our waitress, the hostess and a fellow waitress pass by and not even acknowledge me. The two people I was with finished their meals and still no one had come to see what the problem was with my food. At this point we had placed all the dishes at the end of the table to be picked up. We waiting 15mins and no one had passed by as they were all at the hostess stand talking and not paying attention to their customers. My friend had to get up and go get them to come help us. The hostess is the one that came to pick up the dishes and noted my plate was full with only one bite in my sandwich and did not even question it. Then our waitress arrived with the bills and when I explained to her my disappointment with the food and did not want to pay she stated "unfortunately the food is up to our standards, therefore you have to pay". I chose not to make a scene or argue about it, I simply paid and left and will never return. On my first visit to this location, I was immediately impressed by the spacious and welcoming atmosphere. What truly elevated my experience, however, was the exceptional service provided by Maya I. From the moment I arrived, she was incredibly attentive—consistently checking in to ensure everything was perfect and making me feel genuinely valued as a customer. Her friendly demeanor and dedication to great service made a lasting impression.

I asked for some recommendations, and I was thoroughly impressed with her suggestions. I tried the Pineapple Shaker, a delightful drink with a perfect balance of sweet and sour flavors—refreshing and unique. I also ordered the Caesar Salad and TRD Single Wings. The salad was generously portioned and crisp, and the wings were cooked to perfection, making for a satisfying and well-rounded meal.

I enjoyed the experience so much that I returned for a second visit for there 1.5 pound Tuesday and ordered sides. Once again, Maya I, delivered the same high level of service—thoughtful, professional, and consistent. I also want to highlight Jordana, who did a fantastic job with the presentation of the drinks, adding an extra touch of flair to the overall experience.

This is the kind of establishment that makes you want to return. Whether passing through or nearby Barrie, this location has become a favorite stop thanks to its excellent food, great ambiance, and standout service. Five stars for Maya I and the drinks Made by Jordana. New to there menu is the Mango Habenero tenders. Trust me...

Honestly, the food was good and I’ve always loved the wings but this locations atmosphere has changed. I felt like I was at the queens night club last night with how loud the music was and it was dance music, half the music wasn’t in English…. I chose to go here last night on a date as I thought it was a country bar and it would be mellow on a Wednesday and with country music playing but the entire time it was blaring party music. Not one country song played. I am not one to complain, I am young and don’t mind the party music but really ? On a Wednesday? Wild wing was never like that before.

I’m not sure who was in charge of the music and environment last night but that needs to change…. If I wanted to party I would have chose a bar on Dunlop street but I wanted a chill dinner with a couple beers lol… it’s been a year since the last time I was here and definitely a big change.

I will not be back at this location unless it’s for a beer or to pickup wings and take it home or if I want to party ha.

I couldn’t even have a conversation with my boyfriend as the music was that loud. We made the best of it and enjoyed our night but just a warning for those who might want to go on a date here looking for a chill night...
