With a limited number of places to grab a bite to eat at. Armour is indeed alright. The place is split up between a restaurant and a bar with the bar appearing to have full service as well. Only one waitress to take phone calls, pay bills and wait on people. However she did a fantastic job (granted it wasnt super busy) but her amazing attitude and quick response was impressive nonetheless. Asked her what was good recommended the thai chicken salad and said anything else is good no complaints yet (which is a bit of a worrying sign). The thai chicken salad was a bit weird. Lettuce was on the bottom and it was warmed by the noodles and a bit soggy from the sauce on top. With the salad on the side with the dressing in a cup it would have been much better. The chicken was cooked pretty well not super dry and still was a bit moist. Didnt taste like it was frozen or thawed incorrectly so big props to that. The garlic bread was just white bread with garlic on it and some butter. Was tasty and cooked just long enough. Lastly the other thing to we ordered was the appy plater for 4. Came with samosas or onion rings and pita or fries. Picked onion rings and pita. The pita was warm however the sauce to dip it in was also warm which wasn't ideal. Would of been nice if the sauce was cold. It also came with a plum sauce and ranch dressing. The chicien wings should have been cooked at a higher temperature since they weren't as crispy as they should have been and they over seasoned it (picked salt and pepper). The chicken was a bit dry but crisper than the wings which was okay. Lastly the onion rings where pretty good probably the best thing on the plate. They weren't soggy and the onion held in place when you bit into it (gave way and was part of the batter when you bit but stayed intact where you didnt bite) which was very nice, again though could of been a bit crisper. The carrots and celery where whatever not cut all the way through so some pieces where bigger than the other but no biggie. The plates we where brought weren't clean which was a bit of a worry when trying a new place however the food was edible and the one waitress was very nice. A bit on the pricier side of things but if this is one of the only edible/good places to eat at can't really complain would go back if nothing else around was worthwhile for sure to try more stuff but not someplace im dying to go to without trying other...
Read moreFood is okay at best. The business is disgustingly under staffed. Finished eating and was ready to go and it literally took an hour and a half to pay my bill. Everytime I tried to get my servers attention she told me that she has other things to do. After all that, my entire table had to go up and pay their bill. They have one person running a liquor store, restaurant, bar and motel. This was absolutely the worst dining service experience I have ever had in my entire life. I will never come back here because of...
Read moreWorst omelette I’ve ever had! The egg was so thin it was dry and I couldn’t poke my fork into it without it crumbling! The toast was made of stale bread and the butter on it tasted slightly rancid! We waited 45 minutes for our food after we had ordered. Our server was the only redeeming thing, and we must have drank a full pot of coffee while we waited. The restaurant is VERY tired. The upholstered seat at our booth had a 6” hole in it, and the ladies washroom was filthy, I almost didn’t want to touch the tap to...
