Fortune Restaurant Ltd — Restaurant in Bay Roberts

Well just recently had the pleasure of going to the fortune restaurant. The food was insanely hot, fresh and delicious. I've eaten a lot of chinamans food in my 60 years. This was in the top 3 . Altho they were slammed the 3 ladies serving took our orders and got drinks with in 6 mins of us sitting .meal took about 30but they advised us of that when we arrived . We had plattes and the Canton chow mein . When it came out the egg rolls were hit crispy well filled and not a sign of grease ,which most egg rolls suffer from. The chicken balls were large and again grease free the ribs big and there were 7 tender and tasty . The rice was ok . The young girl That was at the front desk did not greet us with a hello , welcome, etc. no verbal communication. Hi, addressed her with a table for two. She did not ask us to follow her. She just lit on through the restaurant to the back and I decided to just follow our seats. She also passed three drinks to the table next to us and just left them on the corner and did not pass them out to anyone sitting at the table. The food was hot, but the chow mein had a strong taste of celery and otherwise flavorless. The portions were very small. Didn’t ask or check to see if we wanted a refill on refreshments. Poor service 40 minutes before our app showed up. The couple sitting at the next table after we were seated had their app finished and meal started before our app showed up. Meals were ok. When I spoke about the slow service the person in charge of the floor said it was not the servers fault it was the kitchen staff problem so I asked to speak someone about them and was told the kitchen staff were the owners and wouldn't come out.
