We returned to this area once again before they close on Thanksgiving say until next year when they will open again, due to the low number of tourists in the winter time. Port Burwell is a very small, sleepy town and it makes sense, although for us, travellers not stopping our pattern even in winter time, would have been great if more places were open like in Florida or London UK etc Izzy, where we ate last time was closed on the day we visited and made sense to check this place: we had some great burgers with fries, made very fast by some very lovely staff. I also checked the inside of the air conditioned place with clean toilets noticing the close to 50 ice cream flavours, and I had a Bubble gum shake, with big bits of bubble gum at the bottom. Returning from the nearby provincial park some hours later (we prefer to pay 18 CAD for quiet space as opposed to using the town's beach, however quiet was on this mid week day we were here enjoying record October temperatures) I had a Kiddie scoop of bubble gum which again was enormous and I had to drop some in my other half's Tiger tail shake he likes so much. Both my icecream and shake were around 7 CAD, which is more than what was mentioned on the wall, and honestly I would prefer a one scoop icecream than the massive icecream I have received. The first time, I was served by the lovely owner, returning, the shop was packed so I was served by a guy I had to tell him 'stop' in order to stop putting so much icecream on my cone - this made my other half burst into laughter. The downside of eating so much was that my tongue turned blue from the colouring in the bubble gum, and worse, my tummy was really hurting: even gua sha tools did not help on reducing the pain only 24 hours later. Everything coming out of me was blue too - too much colorant!!!! A lesson not to be so greedy in the future.

The service is nauseating slow and not friendly -- you're just another customer with $ in your hand -- NEXT! ... at beach truck also. The prices compared to portion size is outrageous. Shaws ice cream is no where near as delicious as many other much more yummy Canadian brands. Avoid the poutine at all costs. It's NOT poutine! A few sprinkles of tiny, shredded marble cheddar cheese is not the cheese ingredient used in poutine. Where's the cheese curd???!! Very disappointing. Hoping for better food choices for Summer 2022 with much faster, more friendly, more affordable service on the Port Burwell beach.

Great little spot for a dessert or quick meal for anyone visiting Port Burwell beach or vicinity. Parking is on the road and side roads. The place was bustling on a Saturday afternoon in May. There was a lineup stretched out to the street of people lining up to get their dessert/icecream orders. It moved fast though. We had multiple flavors. All were good.serving size was huge, even though we only ordered single and kid sized. Would definitely be coming again when I visit the beach!

Went 05/24 around 6 and ordered, amongst other things, a poutine. It was cold. When I went to complain the woman automatically snapped/barked at me saying that “ I know for a fact that is a fresh batch of fries”. I was simply shocked at her response. She didn’t ask why. She didn’t even give me a chance to explain that while the fries were hot. THE POUTINE GRAVY WAS ICE COLD making the whole thing cold. I am not sure where this woman learnt her customer service skills but strongly suggest she sign up for a course! When a customer complains to a restaurant the first thing they should do is ask why and try and make it right. Not bark to the customer like a rabid dog. Totally unacceptable and, by the way, when I was so shocked by her response and turned to go back to me seat, she slammed her little windows shut. It was a good thing for her that I was with my wife and friends otherwise her windows would have been plastered with this terrible poutine and this would have ended completely different. GO ELSEWHERE IF THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS WHY WOULD YOU...

Decided to get some breaded mushrooms to have before getting ice cream. Pre ordered as we were coming into Port Burwell. Was told 25 to 30 minutes. (Really, for 2 orders of mushrooms?) I said that was fine and we sat outside and waited our 25 minutes. My husband went to window to pick up order as it started to thunder and lightning. He was standing outside waiting for 10-15 minutes after her paid for order, in a thunder storm! They hadn't started our food until he went to window to pay!! We saw people who had ordered while we were waiting our 25mins, pick up their food while he was standing there waiting. I just had a feeling that we should have just gone there and ordered after he said 25 mins!! It came to over 17 dollars for 2 orders of mushrooms!! There were about 16 small mushrooms total. Over a dollar each!!...
