I have been to this restaurant a total of four times now, and unfortunately tonight will have to be my last time. My first visit (October 2022) was lovely - a live band, delicious food and drinks, quick and friendly service despite being a busy Thursday night. Second visit (a Friday night in November 2022) was horrible. The restaurant was empty except for one other table and one man at the bar. There was a older waiter and a very young waitress. The waiter yelled at and kicked the man out of the restaurant. The service was very slow, to the point where we waited 30 mins for someone to take our order. This never happened, so I walked up to the bar and ordered 3 menu items. We ended up only receiving one food item, and it wasn’t even correct. Our waitress ended up bringing a second round of drinks to us that we didn’t ask for nor want, and she was slurring her words to the point where I asked her to repeat it 3x and still couldn’t understand. We saw the older waiter getting touchy feely with the young waitress. We ended up asking for the bill 5 times - we were told that our waitress couldn’t ring up the bill and that we had to wait for the waiter to do it, but that he was out for a delivery and we would have to wait. Third visit (st Patrick’s day 2023) was good. Friendly young waiter, quick service, good atmosphere. We were told that the restaurant had gotten new staff after we told him about our last visit. Fourth and final visit (July 2023) was bad again. Today was decently busy with only two waitresses. We stood at the entrance for 5 mins before being told to find our own way to a table, we cleared off the old dishes, got our own coasters and menus. About 30mins later, our waitress came to take our order. Another hour later, we hadn’t received our appetizer, waitress Cheryl didn’t check ask if we wanted any refills on our drinks. When asking about this, we were told “we’re busy” by the waitress. Eventually our appetizer came, then our meals came 5 mins later. My meal was a burger and fries. Fries were cold, burger was very dry, the bbq sauce on it and the bun were tasty. Waitress did not get a chance to check on us during our meal at all, must’ve been too busy. By the end of the meal, she did not ask how our meal was. We still left a great tip for her as she was telling us about the difficult evening she had, but unfortunately this restaurant just isn’t worth the ups and downs. You will likely have a much better experience at another restaurant. Read moreHeard about this place since it had opened and am never in that area of HRM, but was this past weekend, so decided to give it a try for breakfast about 11am on Sunday. I used GPS and still managed to over-shoot the entranceway, so had to turn around and see the parking lot. I'd say there's space for about 10 or a dozen cars before it would start getting really squished? It's an older home converted into a restaurant with a cute patio on the side that I wouldn't mind trying in the summer. This day it was pouring out and was a bit cold inside, but I don't mind that. Noticed a few other customers kept their coats on. When you first enter the first entrance door, you come into a porch that's painted white with customer signatures & comments written all over the walls, which is cool. Like wall-papered amount, not much room to squeeze in your own at this point. Then you enter the second door, which brings to you their bar & pay area on the, with a few high tables. There's another room with a few standard tables. I requested one of these. I'd say the place was 75% full with capacity for maybe 30 or 40 max? (didn't count). Friendly service. The menu had a bit better variety than your typical pub/restaurant. I tried the veggie lover omelette which was good. Sliced avocado on top with tomato, cheese, onions & peppers inside. Normally I enjoy the station. The last time we interacted with them was June 30th. We used their own website to order delivery as we have done in the past. Shortly after placing the order we got a call stating they "forgot" to turn off the delivery option and we'd have to go get it. Fine, mistakes are made sometimes. A second call came shortly after that saying they couldn't cancel the order in the system and we'd have to pay for it again(we had asked if the delivery fee and something called the default fee could simply be refunded). So, we’re 90+ dollars in for a burger and a club sandwich and fries. They said the first charge would take 5 to 7 to show up in our accounts. After arriving at the time the order said it would be ready I still sat for 15 more minutes waiting only to have their wireless debit machine time out 4 times while trying to pay again. We understand that restaurants were only recently allowed to open for dine in so hiccups are expected. There was no real apology(except, sorry for the confusion) either from staff that night and no response to an email we sent management. Sadly our last trip there...
