Ding Ho Restaurant — Restaurant in Black River-Matheson Township

We live in Timmins and we met friends in Matheson for lunch on March 18, 2025. From the moment we entered this restaurant, the vibe was NOT good. The owner (person who served us) was anything but pleasant. She never smiled, she threw the placemats and cutlery on the table, and she was extremely rude. The food was adequate, however, the pricing was ridiculous. A combo plate was $23.95 for rice, egg roll and one other item. These prices are higher than big city prices. We all like to support our local businesses, but this business owner needs to up her game by providing friendly, welcoming service and good food for a good price. Surya Kumar….I just went to give theses guys a review and saw that you gave these guys a 1 star….wow that is crazy….You did not wait that long….if that was long you need to go eat at the gas station and get a microwave sandwich to go….. This is by far the best Chinese food I have ever had….The reason why it is so good is because it is made fresh to order and not fast food Chinese that you get at some places…. We just moved into the area and this place will definitely become a weekly habit… So if you are near by make the stop as everything...

Happened to stumble upon this restaurant while in the area. Food was excellent! Staff was nice.

Most dishes don't have rice with it, but they were willing to accommodate and make a combination combo out of the dish I chose. (A combination combo is something with rice and an egg roll). The portions were also quite substantial.
