If you are in the area looking for good eats, I highly recommend this spot. The pizza was well prepared, lots of toppings quality cheese, a bit light on sauce but still an exceptional pie. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious, crispy, light flaky, and not overly greasy. The fries are classic thick cut, crispy but light and fluffy on the inside. I'm a huge chicken wing buff, but I have to say the wings here were not the best, good sauce flavor, but tasted freezer burnt. Good, but not great. The coleslaw was incredible. I love a good coleslaw, but it's rare to find. I would eat a gallon of this stuff. It was fresh, crunchy, creamy, and had the perfect flavor. Close to 5 star with great food, great service, and great atmosphere, but It was lost on the quality of the chicken wings and the deep fried pickles. Deep fried pickles are supposed to taste like pickles, not fresh cut cucumber. I get they are the same vegetable, but two entirely separate flavor profiles. Either way our visit here was still exceptional.

The renovated patio & Acorn club house is fantastic and a must see location. Very unexpected for the area, modern decor, beautiful view of the golf green & fountains from the new patio. The food is up scale pub style, pasta, snadwiches, pizza etc... Menu has veggie options, meat & gluten free, and the items on it are done well, serving size is sufficient. Great for a group or date night. The Acorn has golfing supplies & gifts. The staff are gracious & helpful, the food is great tasting. Lots of parking, you may want to make reservations, if it's a large group. It gets busy during the dinner hour, best to make booking ahead. Was visiting the area, dropped in & had a good time! Love the giant white squirrel statue😍

The restaurant is open year-round, which is a big deal with these parts Diverse menu all the food looks good and everything I had was delicious. I enjoyed the meatloaf and the wood fired pizza. My friend enjoyed the bbq cobb salad and a chicken wrap fun patio to enjoy your meal, and the staff is very attentive, and all are very friendly Shout out to Madi, Abby, Alexis who are always very pleasant and helpful. Also a shout out to Mack attack, a great bartender. professional and makes a hell of a Caesar. even if you don’t play golf, you’ll enjoy coming here Keep up the good work :)

Sept 19, 2021 Booked 2 tee times with carts for a foursome and 2 twosome one right after each other. The two some was paired up with a single person that was walking. After the Third hole the Marshal approached us and said that we couldn't play as 6 people? We were a bit startled since this was not the case and the Marshal was very accusatory in his tone. We were actually playing a scramble and were moving at a fast pace but were limited by the golfers ahead of us and we started bunching up. His attitude had disrupted our flow of the game and was not very professional from the golf course considering the price of the green fees for 6 golfers and that fact that we were there the night before for dinner (which the service was terrible since they were shorted staffed and made no apologies for not providing plates and utensils until almost after we had finished our meals/ yet some staff could be seen chatting with other guests our server tried her best and was running around) . Upon leaving the 9th hole the marshal asked how our first nine went and I replied it was terrible since he disturbed our flow of the game with his attitude. He waved me off in a dismissive manner and I proceeded to go and speak to the Manager Britt. I explained the situation and the condescending attitude from their Marshal. She apologized and stated she would speak to him. Considering the missive disruption and poor attitude from the Marshal the Club made no attempt to compensate or provide a gesture of good will to my group for his rude behavior. I think its important for the owners to know how their employees treat paying guests. I would expect that upon reading this review perhaps the owner would like to reach out and discuss the matter ?? I will be telling all my friends and collogues om social medial as well not to visit this establishment since its customer service is horrible and the bad experience we...

This is an extraordinary golf course. The staff are excellent. The head pro (Stewart?) spent 25 min with me looking for my phone after it fell out of my cart. On back to back days staff drove around with cold bottled water free of charge as it was smokin hot. This is uncharacteristic of most golf courses.

The greens are fantastic, absolutely immaculate. Putting and chipping practice greens are top notch and the driving range is very good. I’d prefer grass as this range seems to be permanent mats, however you can still sink a tee in so that beats rubber tees. Mostly the course runs on time, though tends to bottle on hole 3 before spacing out on 4/5. I’d consider it a short course, however moving to the tips (blue) presented a completely different challenge. Do yourself a favour and leave yourself below the hole, always. I think all the greens are uphill to the back. I don’t think there’s a flat green on the course and they are fast enough. About 9.5 or 10 in the stimp meter.

The food is very good. Pizza by the slice, wood-fired, is typically available on the turn. Dogs are also available. Coolers are available for no charge for your (their beverages).

I play this course every summer when I visit. They are continually making upgrades and the improvements are well thought out.

My only minor gripes:

tee boxes need some help as they can be slightly sloped / humped and the grass is a bit long that tree on #8 needs to eat a chainsaw. (This is a sentiment shared by all groups I’ve golfed with) the rough is THICK as in lose a ball thick. I searched 15 min (nobody behind, slow group ahead) for a ball that was no more than 3 ft off the fairway.

Those are minor and a smart player can score here. The course is worth every penny to play and...

I hope this message at least reaches the manager of the restraurant, so he or she can use this as constructive criticism. We were there on August 21, 2022 for lunch at 12 noon. I am only speaking for myself, not sure what the others thought, although nobody came out raving about the food or the service ( unlike other visits). We actually love the new canopies you have installed, they protected us from the sun and later the wind (5 star). Normally the food and the service is impeccable but our last service left a lot to be desired.

  1. I had requested jam for my toast (2x) and extra napkins (2x) but to no avail.
  2. I asked for salt and pepper but it only arrived after my cold eggs had already been consumed.
  3. We each received a large quantity of french fries that we hadn't ordered (no options were offered).
  4. I also asked two seperate waitresses if they could provide some coasters or something to stablize the table that was rocking to and fro. Everytime one of us tried to cut into our meal the table would rock back and forth, I thought I was going to be sea sick. But to my dismay neither waitress ever provided the coasters so we ate our cold food and tried not to touch the table.
  5. To top it all off, our waitress ( not wearing a name tag) told us her name was Samantha, dropped a knife covered in peanutbutter on my lap (brovo!) I hope she realizes that my minuscule 10 % tip was a reflection of my disappointment not because I'm cheap. Fortunately, our personal visit with friends was not effected. I hate giving a negative review because The White Squirrel has always been a great experience up until now. My guess is that our waitress is fairly new and out of their element. Good luck with all future...
