I was in the plaza when Makkar Baker's caught my eye, and I’m glad I stopped in! They have an impressive variety of treats — from Indian-style biscuits to beautiful cakes, desserts, gift packs, and more. 🎂🍪

I decided to try their whole wheat Indian-style biscuits, and they were crispy and light, with very little sugar. While I personally prefer a bit more sweetness, I can see these being perfect for anyone looking for a healthier, low-sugar option. It’s definitely an acquired taste, but a good one if you enjoy subtle flavors.

The store itself is bright and well-organized, with shelves full of tempting choices. It’s clear they put thought into their presentation, and everything looked fresh and inviting.

I’m looking forward to coming back to explore more of their menu, especially the cakes and other baked goods that looked absolutely delicious. A good spot for traditional Indian-style...

If you’re looking for disappointment served cold with a side of attitude, Makkar’s Bakers at the sunpac location is the place to go. The food? Absolutely garbage. Tastes like it was cooked last week, frozen, and reheated in a microwave with low battery. The pastries were stale, the snacks were soggy, and the “fresh” items had the texture of cardboard soaked in regret.Customer service? Don’t even get me started. The staff acts like you’re bothering them just by walking in. No greetings, no smile just straight-up rude vibes. It’s like they’re doing you a favour by even acknowledging your existence. Cleanliness? I’ve seen truck stops cleaner. Tables were sticky, crumbs everywhere, and the whole place had a weird smell that made me lose my appetite before I even sat down. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this spot to my worst enemy. Save your money, save your stomach, and save your sanity go...

I wish I can give ‘em zero I ordered a cake for kids sweet 16 this is that they sent I have showed them the pic of the decline came in the pics the first one is the one they sent wasted money and disappointed my kid sweet 16 the person who took the order was the Owner him self she said ok I know this cake it’s rose I will make this wen I called to tell then u guys sent in the wrong cake he’s telling me this is what u ordered and he the cake is for about 5 people very small cake he sent in for.
