I have been visiting this McDonald's my whole life as it is the closest to my home. Over the years, I've experienced both good and bad service from this location. However, today's experience left me beyond disappointed and speechless.
I ordered a combo and two side items. Upon reaching the second window, I was told to wait, which has never been a problem for me. I've had to park before many times, and having worked at McDonald's for over two years myself, I understand the importance of keeping an eye on the timer.
The issue was not the wait, but how the drive-thru worker addressed me and behaved. When she informed me that I had to wait, I asked her what specifically I was waiting on and approximately how long it would take. Her response was shockingly rude: "Food, food takes time." I was taken aback, so I asked again, hoping she hadn't understood me the first time. I explained that if it was one of the side items, I wouldn't mind leaving without it. She curtly replied, "You're waiting on food, and I have a timer, so go park," and then closed the window in the middle of our conversation while looking at me and saying "so stupid."
At this point, I requested to speak with the manager. Having worked in the service industry for over eight years, I understand the challenges and frustrations that can arise, but I also know that patience, kindness, and polite communication are essential. The manager, who was right behind the worker and heard everything, apologized and tried to address the situation. However, the employee continued to argue and yell at me through the window even as the manager was explaining to her to calm down and not speak in such a manner.
For the record, the employee's name was Gursimran, and she was working at the drive-thru window on August 2nd, 2024, around 10:30 PM.
This was the most disappointing and disrespectful service I have ever received at this location. I hope that the management team will take appropriate action to ensure that such behavior is not repeated...
Read moreWe went to order 7 plain cheeseburgers, 2 chicken snack raps and 2 large fries. When we got our order we checked if the cheeseburgers were plain so we checked and only one of them didn’t have cheese. Once we told them they told us that they don’t come with cheese when you order them plain, but the others all had cheese. One indian worker with lots of henna ( I’m not trying to be racist ) screamed from the back while saying “ next time you should order plain hamburger” she said that with the biggest, nastiest and rudest attitude i have ever heard. My mother and I were extremely mad because she had no respect towards us as customers. A while later we came home and we started to eat. I opened my snack raps and there was no cheese, barely any lettuce and a tiny bit of ranch sauce. It was very small compared to t all the other times we have ordered the snack raps. Lastly fries. We ordered 2 large fries as I said and it was filled half way into the container. They weren’t even cooked properly. Another complaint is they work with no gloves and hair nets which isn't sanitary. Many times have I seen them itch/scratch their noses and still touch the food right after. They really need to learn how to talk to customers and not scream at them with a bad attitude and need to...
Read moreI live right on the same street as this McDonald’s and used to visit regularly, but over time the service has seriously declined. No matter what time of day I go, even if I'm the only one in the drive-thru, I'm always asked to park and wait for my food, even for something as simple as fries.
The night shift is particularly frustrating. There’s one worker, Rupinder, whose lazy attitude reflects the lack of care and effort put into service. It’s disappointing because I remember when this location was run by high school students. The food was fresh, service was fast, and everything felt well-managed. Now, it’s the complete opposite.
The food often arrives undercooked or cold, items are frequently missing, and the staff seem more interested in chatting than doing their jobs. It honestly feels like the McDonald’s name is being disrespected at this location. If you value your time, money, and health, I highly recommend driving the extra 10 minutes to the McDonald’s at 6130 Hwy 7, Vaughan. The service and food quality there are far superior.
Management seriously needs to step in and evaluate what’s going on here. This location has been around for years, but the current state is a total...
