Tony & Jim's Place — Restaurant in Brampton

I have been a loyal customer of Tony and Jim’s for several years, and while the pizza quality remains good, I must express my concern about recent changes since the new ownership took over. Despite the ingredients staying the same, I’ve noticed a significant decrease in the size of their pizza slices for the same price. This change is disappointing, especially considering the quality and value Tony and Jim’s used to offer.

The slice of pizza used to be generous, with a satisfying portion that justified the price. Now, it’s noticeably smaller. This reduction in size, without a corresponding decrease in price, makes me question the fairness and customer focus of the new management at Tony and Jim’s.

Wich leaves me wondering about the direction Tony and Jim’s is heading under new management. Will more changes be made that affect the overall experience?

As a customer who values transparency and fair pricing, these recent developments raise concerns about what else might change in the future. I appreciate the good pizza Tony and Jim’s continues to provide, and I plan to continue coming back. However, I hope Tony and Jim’s will consider the impact of these decisions on their loyal customers who have come to expect a certain standard.

I sincerely urge Tony and Jim’s to reconsider their recent adjustments and to prioritize maintaining both quality and value. Many of us have come to love Tony and Jim’s for its consistency and great pizza, and I believe these qualities are crucial for retaining loyal customers.

Had a decent experience overall with some caveats.

1. Chicken parmesan sandwich = lots of chicken, mmm. Delivery was quick, but my sandwich was still soggy. My suggestion would be to put the sauce on the side by default, since I'm sure a ton of people get this for take-out/delivery. (This was probably my over-sight to not ask since their google picture is literally a sandwich with sauce on the side.) The taste is good, just the way it was put together was not the greatest.

2. Fried panzerotti was alright in taste except the sauce was in a small portion of the panzerotti and the rest was basically just cheese + dough. I thought I would run into this problem, and wanted a dip anyway...so I got tomato sauce on the side ($1) when I ordered. Problem was the "sauce" was super watery/oily, so it didn't make for a great dip. I'm gonna stick with San Francesco for my panzerotti needs (or try other Brampton places). :/ Luckily, item #3 below saved the day!

3. Wings: finally the reviews online didn't fail me. They're indeed HUGE and delicious! Perfect for any wing lover. Their sauce flavours are fairly limited and I don't think there were dry options. The breading amount seemed adequate but not overboard. The texture is more on the soft side, versus some places that have more of a crispiness/chewiness to their wings. Generous on the sauce, so ask for less if you like it lighter. If you order from here, I'd definitely throw in at least a pound of wings.

Ok, I gotta say I was super disappointed ... I have had my share of good Italian food and this is not it. I got wings , party pizza and steak sandwich. First of all the wings are HUGE like way too big. Wings should just not be so big. And the problem with big wings is the texture and the nasty thick fatty skin. The sauced ones were the worst because all the sauce got absorbed and the texture was so bad. The steak was so bland. And not much meat on it at all just two thin pieces. The pizza super greasy and bland. The cheese in particular seems to release ALOT of oil. I would never write a bad review if it truly wasn't worthy of it. And I know most the reviews are good and that's what brought me in but man was it disappointing . Not sure what the people that are writing these reviews consider good food. Not to mention the guy making the sandwiches kept scratching the side of his nose while he was making sandwiches. NOT COOL .
