Read moreI’ve been going to goos for over ten years now and I think it’s going to be coming to an end. The food is great but the service we’ve been receiving is not the same as it was when they first opened or even years ago. On my last 3 occasions that I’ve went I haven’t even been able to order food. 1st occasion - show up 1 hours before closing and was told that they have run out of fries and chicken. 2nd occasion - once again show up 1 hour before closing according to their google hours and the restaurant was already closed, not sure what the point of having an opening and closing time is if you close early and this isn’t the first time this has happened. 3rd occasion - show up tonight approximately 5:45pm and was told their is a 2 hours wait to order food due to goos allowing pre orders, which I think is crazy 30-40 min is reasonable on a busy Friday night but 2 hours that’s ridiculous. I’ve been a loyal customer for over 10 years and I’m just disappointed to see one of my favorite restaurants going down this road, idk if I’ve just had bad luck or these issues are going to continue... On a side not the food is always great, if you’re lucky enough to be able to place...
Read moreBeen thinking about trying this place for a while... Atmosphere was really awkward, it's obviously a place set up for highschool students which makes sense for the location.. ordered chicken fingers and a poutine. The chicken fingers were completely coated in grease which was kind of disgusting, and they were all flat straight from a cheap box, I'm sure. Good crisp on the outside but the amount of fryer oil on them was gross. The poutine was worth the $2.00 upcharge which means I wouldn't pay more than $2 for them. Terrible thin fries and fake curds, dollar store gravy that was light in color. Husband ordered a chicken wrap and poutine. The wrap was actually visibly WET on all sides, not great review on that from my husband. Poutine was the same as mine. Unfortunate because I remember back when I went to school around there goos was the bomb. It looks to me like they've completely cheaped out. You get what you pay for, this order cost me $39, won't be returning. Oh and the staff (wearing no hair nets) made comments like "what can I get you big guy" and "that's whole order is for you two" .. not a big deal just...
