The missus and I pulled up to the drive-thru. A small steeped tea with one milk for her and a medium steeped tea with one milk for me. And two old-fashioned plain donuts. The clerk accurately repeated our order. 10 minutes later (not an exaggeration; there were about 5 cars in front of us) we pulled up to the drive-thru window. An employee opened it, I paid, and then she handed one old-fashioned plain donut in a bag to me. The window shut. We were sitting for 3 minutes. My sensitive ears detected peals of laughter from several employees. The drive-thru window finally opened and the two steeped teas arrived, but not the missing donut. I inquired about it. I explained that I ordered two and and had only received one. Oh, laughed the employee, as she conferred with another employee - yes, were are missing your donut - we input it correctly and charged you for two but only gave you one. She did not speak great English - not a problem - so perhaps something was lost in the translation. I did not understand that I was getting a second donut, so I thought, forgetaboutit, I have been waiting here for 15 minutes and don't need this crummy donut. As I began to pull away, the missus said, Stop, the donut is coming. The employee appeared at the window, apologized for the delay, handed me a donut and had a sheepish grin on her face. Better a grin than a scowl. Well, after that ghastly experience I shall not be returning. I'm not concerned about a missing donut, but the wait was interminably long. The service was as slow as a Dodge Omni going uphill loaded...
Read moreI recently had a very disappointing experience at this Tim Hortons location. I tried to order a regular lemonade with sparkling water, a simple request that should have been easy to accommodate, but the staff member at the counter flat-out refused. What made the situation even worse was the attitude of the woman serving me. She was incredibly rude and seemed to have no interest in providing any kind of customer service. Her manner was unprofessional and frankly, it felt like she didn't know how to speak to people respectfully. It's frustrating when you encounter such poor service. I hope the management addresses this behavior because it truly makes for a terrible customer experience. I have been getting the same menu from all over Ontario and no Tim Hortance. Has the problem? Why only this Tim's made the situation worse and a woman. Oh, my God, freaking awful customer service. I've been manager of multiple restaurants from the last 5 years. And I have never seen any of my employees talking to customers like that.It really hurts. I got the same thing from another tim hortons just down the...
Read moreThese guys used to be good. Now things are very different. You are served by students or middle aged people who are too new in Canada (or too tired) to even remember that they need to smile. Are they even told about how to greet a customer during their training anymore ⁉️
All you see is a deadbeat face handing you something you might have ordered (they don't care and get it wrong many times) and expect you to get out of their face asap. I have been handed the wrong drink so many times now that I have started "test sipping" my drink as soon as I get it just to make sure. (It is cringy but you can take the wrong drink handed to you only that many times !) 😕
Although I understand that it's tiring work, a part of it includes being cheerful and welcoming to the customer. This is no longer the case.😮💨
This Tims is a sad sad experience. If you are there anyways, you and your family might get a bit more happiness if you drive through the adjacent McDonald's instead (but again, you were there for Tims so I understand the...
