I was included in a party of 6 for a friends birthday, I had been in the building as previous businesses before and don’t get me wrong it looked amazing they did great decorating. But for the limited items on the menu and descriptions only gorden Ramsey could understand to be able to order, was a bit overwhelming. After getting our food the birthday girl got the lobster pasta that comes with half a lobster, she had taken a piece of the tail and mixed it in her pasta she set aside the giant bowl it had arrived in, there wasn’t a lot of space but any of us had hardly made a dent in our tiny portions before the waitress came and took the lobster and then we flagged her down and she promised to bring a replacement and it had come when we were just about finished eating and the lobster was cold and RAW and when mentioned she definetly gave us a bit of attitude and made us feel like we were asking for too much but asked for another one to be brought out and we waited she came back and took desert orders when the lobster arrived we asked for it in a Togo container because lobster and icecream don’t go together. So after desert we were given the takeout container. IT HAD THE SAME RAW LOBSTER THAT THEY HAS MICROWAVED INTO RUBBER INSIDE OF IT. Thank you junction sixteen, I’m glad we know where not to spend $79 on hardly half a lobster and a boat load of disappointment. Steak was...
Read moreJunction Sixteen is an absolute gem of a restaurant, offering exceptional food in a warm and inviting atmosphere. It was bustling on our visit, which did make it a touch noisy, but the energy only added to the vibrant feel and didn’t detract from enjoying our time together.
Our server arrived promptly and started us off with some fantastic local beers on tap. The menu strikes a perfect balance: not overwhelming, yet full of tempting choices, with many dishes accommodating gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, and dairy-free preferences. The specials sounded particularly enticing.
Three of us ordered the Tuna Aglio Olio—an outstanding dish bursting with flavour and a hint of spice. The tuna was perfectly cooked, and the portions were generous. We also tried the pasta special, the Steak Tagliata, and the three-cheese agnolotti. Every plate was a hit, with everyone thoroughly enjoying their meals.
We couldn’t resist dessert and opted for the blueberry lemon cake served with lemon curd, homemade vanilla ice cream, and toasted coconut. It was as divine as it sounds; fresh, bright, and perfectly sweet.
Junction Sixteen is truly a hidden treasure. We’ll definitely be back soon to explore more...
Read moreWhat a gem! I had not been here since it has been re-invented, but what a pleasant surprise. Loved the mismatched tables and chairs, which were well-spaced and sturdy. Lots of room on the deck outside. Great liquor menu with a decent wine list, lots of beer choices and nice non-alcoholic options. For an appetizer, we shared calamari which was great. Light and flavourful breading, choice of two dipping sauces and a good serving size. Ate it up before we remembered a picture. 🤦♀️ We shared two pizzas between the three of us and these are among the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Amazing crust, ample toppings and interesting additions like truffle honey oil and a variety of cheeses. We ate a lot and still brought a few pieces home. We saw mouth-watering burgers and pasta dishes being served - but we were happy with our choices. We did not have dessert, but they had ice cream available to eat in or take home. Yummy toppings too. Finally, we delighted in their usage of mismatched china. Such a nice touch that added to the experience overall. 10/10 highly recommend!
