For the last three years we have been trying to eat at this restaurant. But due to unforeseen circumstances such as the pandemic and a shortage of food/staff, it was only recently that we finally got our Carribean food craving while visiting Penticton! There are two locations, but the one across from Skaha lake is the main spot and best one to visit. Mark and Denise are super nice and down to earth, and I love being able to support a local restaurant. I really wanted to try the oxtail but it was not available. I think you actually have to call a few days ahead of time to ask or request it. It also depends on if the needed ingredients are in stock. My boyfriend and I ended up getting a jerk chicken each. It was delicious and definitely made with love. Mark's jerk sauce was boiled down so it was more like a gravy and it was full of flavor. We visit Penticton often and will be back!

Wish I could give Mr Mark 10 stars!! Absolutely delicious and authentic Jamaican food - just what we've been looking for in the Okanagan. And what a great guy, so friendly and fun to be around whilst he made all the food fresh to order, including the patties. He even makes his own jerk sauce! I ordered the jerk chicken poutine and it was to die for, with just the right amount of heat! Great spot to slow down and chill out with a great view of Skaha Lake watching planes landing. His other store by Little Caesars stays open during the off season so we will absolutely be customers for life! Thanks again Mr Mark for the lessons in eating patties the right way, when they're piping hot hahaha 🤣

I special ordered some for my whole family after talking up doubles for a whole year. Mark was got them done! They are the closest to what I remember and my family absolutely loved them! My girlfriend and I came to Penticton for the week and maybe it was the sunshine or maybe it was the beach, but something had us craving Caribbean food.

Luckily we found Mr Mark’s because I can say without a doubt it was the best jerk chicken I’ve ever had, and trust me, I’ve had A LOT.

Not only was the food amazing, but Mr Mark himself was friendly, funny and very kind.

If you’re in Penticton and you’re feeling that same island vibe, definitely go see Mr Mark.

You won’t be disappointed.

OH and don’t forget the hot sauce! It’s so good you’ll want to drink it...
