My husband wanted the fish and chips. We haven’t been here for a long time. We drove over an hour for a nice Sunday out just to have a meal here. The waitress flopped down to sit on the chair across from us to take our order. Literally flopped onto the chair. We were not ready. For her to come again took a long time. After we got our meal. We didn’t see her again. She didn’t come to see if I would like a refill of coffee (I would have), or ask us how our meal was, or if we would have liked a dessert…It was quite shameful. My husbands fish went soggy really quickly and the fries could have been cooked longer. My husband messaged his friend who lives in the Community. He replied with a laugh emoji stating “Good luck, we don’t go there anymore. It really went downhill. Service sucks eh”…. Beyond disappointed. We decided not to tip which feels terrible. But why would you tip on a service that does not warrant it? Still a super uncomfortable situation. Also felt we were given a bad look because of it. Would like to add, an older gentleman was sitting on the bench by the cash and joked with us on how awesome the staff is here. The waitress said “We have our moments”. Kind of smugly. We clearly did not see one of these moments. My husband does not...

The Good: The staff at Bobbers were so friendly, they almost convinced us they were secret agents working undercover as waiters. The restaurant was so clean that even the dust bunnies were doing stand-up comedy.
The Bad: As a fishing-themed restaurant, we expected the menu to have more fish than the aquarium at a marine biologist's house. In a shocking twist, we opted for the hot hamburger – a choice that turned out to be colder than a polar bear's toenails. The pre-frozen patty tasted like it had been thawed with the warmth of a disinterested cat, swimming in a gravy that was trying its best but only made it halfway there. The to-go boxes collapsed faster than our expectations after the first bite. It seems like Bobbers lost its hook on quality food, at least on the day we visited. On the bright side, my dad found true love in the form of his pie.
Rating: 2 out of 5 stars – Bobbers, where the fish are as elusive as a mermaid's phone number, but the pie is a slice of happiness in a sea...
