Me any my friends stopped this place for a quick coffee break with some snaks. Comments about the coffee first. We've made few Latte orders, but I was disappointed to find that there was no milk froth, and the milk itself was served cold. This affected the overall experience negatively, as a good Latte should have a nice frothy texture and be served at a warm temperature. *The chai latte was served at room temperature, and I even asked the barista to confirm it because there was no milk froth. I wouldn't even consider drinking it, even if it were offered for free. I'm not someone who usually complains about food or drinks, but on this occasion, I felt compelled to request a replacement. To my surprise, the staff member initially refused and suggested microwaving the coffee instead. I found it unusual to be charged $5 for a coffee and then be offered a microwave as a solution. I wondered if this was some new coffee technology I was unaware of. I had to insist multiple times and eventually received a slightly warmer version of the chai latte, though it still wasn't at the temperature I had initially desired. In the end, the staff member did ask me, "Is it better now?" Well I couldn't ask for more since they've at least tried...
16oz Americano, but it was made using a single shot of espresso, which made it taste watery and weak. Americanos are typically expected to have a stronger coffee flavour, so I was not satisfied with the drink. *One of my friend went in to ask for another coffee hoping to get a stronger flavour coffee, ended up with even weaker lol
The Gelato was absolutely great. I personally love kawartha ice cream and it always never let me down. The Biscotte was very nice too. I enjoyed it but such an unfortunate to not have a good coffee as a side.
Overall, while the Gelato and Biscotte were excellent, there were some issues with the Latte and Americano that could be improved to enhance the overall customer experience. I really hope you guys to be successful and won't take my comments...
Read moreEdit: after seeing the response from the owner I attended the location again today. (Yesterday I grabbed my items to go and continued my long drive home). The owner was unavailable but I spoke to the friendly staff that had served me the day before (excellent service both times might I add). She was understanding and suggested other menu items that might be of interest to me. I enjoyed the banana bread and the chai hot chocolate. We discussed the flavours and cookie I had the day prior and she happily took my recommendations to improve their goods offered. A very pleasant experience and I am happy to have changed my rating on the food from a 1 star to a 3 star.
Cute little store that Iâve been wanting to try for some time. Finally got a chance today and ordered a shortbread cookie and chai tea latte. The price of the cookie was rather expensive for the small size and most disappointing was the taste. Stale and over baked. Very disappointing. The chai tea latte was served warm and the taste was below average and nothing special leaving me underwhelmed. I donât think Iâll come here again. It was a...
Read moreWe recently visited here after a day at the Belfountain Conservation Area, and it was a lovely way to end the trip. The cafe itself is quaint, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that perfectly complements the small-town charm of Belfountain.
The menu is straightforward but offers a nice variety of options, from freshly brewed coffee and teas to light snacks and baked goods. They also have a small merchandise shop inside.
Service was friendly and unhurried, which added to the relaxed vibe of the place. It was nice to take a moment to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The cafe also has a small outdoor seating area, which is perfect for enjoying the fresh air and the scenic views of the village.
Overall, itâs a charming spot that I would definitely recommend if you're in the area, whether you're looking for a quick coffee break or a leisurely snack after exploring the nearby...
