“Where’s the dog, we don’t allow dogs in here” angry vibe no apology. I tic and I sound like a dog sometimes. We came here for an ice cream as a family after swimming in tbe make. It was busy and a lady came out looking pretty angry seeking out a dog, me. My wife told her and she just looked at me and retreated to the back. The atmosphere was hostile because the lady set the tone for other customers to be aggressive towards me. I felt very unwelcome. I feel like if the lady just said oh sorry we get lots of dogs in here and it sounded Iike a bark, please enjoy,” maybe the crowd would take her que. but she didn’t and they followed suit. Ice cream was soft and melty, I had to eat it quick, but my kids come was a bit better. Maybe they need to adjust the freezers. My wife had a brownie, it was great. I wouldn’t go back, I’m not spending almost 6 on a single scoop of ice cream to be treated with disrespect. One thing - the young man who actually scooped the ice cream was outstanding. He tried to talk to me a bit. Clearly he was trying to set an example for customers to calm down. Thank you. That said, if the price was reasonable and the front house staff were more tactful, this place would be a nice spot to...

My friends and I were celebrating a very special occasion at the Anne's Cafe yesterday. We chose your historical place in purpose because heard a lot of positives about it. .... We ended up extremely disappointed and will not come back. Also, we will share the word about your service as well with everyone we know. The stuff was so rude: thy boys who was working there at that time blamed my friend that she did not pay and refused to give her ice-cream while she PAID and your stuff FORGOT to give her a piece of paper. Your stuff could not handle the amount of guests and they looked lost. I asked to give me an ice-cream in a mug they they made so much unacceptable: the young boy placed a scoop of chocolate ice-cream on the top of a waffle cone and thew it with an unpleasant grimace of disgusted on his face upside down into the mug that the ice-cream ended up on the bottom and a cone was pointed up on the top...... That was horrible! The manager was indifferent to the whole scene and did not even apologize. Thank you! We will not waste our time...

In all honesty, I used to love this place but tonight they did not treat the customers well. We did come 3 minutes after 7pm tonight. There was a line up coming in the door. They were not kind, the shut the door in new customers faces. My little kiddo is learning to bike and biked with us the whole way excited for an ice cream. We walked in hoping we could negotiate one cone, since it was only 3 minutes after. We were told no and my daughter started bawling. I let the staff know he had kids crying and a line up out the door and was losing quite a bit of money. Our group was 5 people all wanting to buy some ice cream on this hot day. Others also said it was the only reason they walked here tonight.

I suggest the owners speak with their staff and the way they handle these situations and adjust their hours to match summer nights! 😊

Thankfully there was a kind man who just ordered before they started to turn people away and gave my daughter who was on the bench outside bawling his cone. So grateful for kind...

Went for a nice fall day walk in Fish Creek. Stopped for a delicious sandwich at Annie's like we always do. Wonderful old house, quaint interior architecture and great outdoor spots to sit and enjoy your meal. This is a real gem in Calgary. Its a short walk from the parking lot for those that have difficulty walking and for those who want to go for a short walk or hike there are several paths that you can discover. A few steps and you can be crossing a bridge and looking at a beautiful view of the river like the picture I took today. Its a favorite spot for photographers taking landscape pictures or family portraits.

Lots of seating outside for bikers,Walkers, not so much inside, but good selection of bakes, drinks and ices, great little rustic style building and internal cabin feel. No real catering for disabled buggies or chairs, although parking is approx 50yds away. Service is prompt and efficient and a little cut and dried and the place can be very busy so atmosphere tends to suffer a little. The art installation next door informative and interesting and the local plans for development will make a great difference to the local flora and fauna. Overall a great place to stop while passing through.

Stopped at Annie's while cycling with a friend. We went in to get an ice cream cone, but I couldn't do it. The price for a single scoop, regular cone was $5.95. If you wanted a waffle cone, it was $2 more. They only offered 7 flavors. Perhaps I'm out of touch with prices these days, but for a government-owned store I expected prices to be more reasonable. Otherwise, it's a nice place to take a rest and look at the art. At least that's free!
