Avoid the soft corn tacos ($4.50-7 each) here! The burrito ($10-12) and enchiladas ($13) are okay. I have been here a few times and the first two times I ordered the burrito and enchiladas with pork filling. It was okay and comparable to Mucho Burrito. Nothing special but filling and decent. However, today I felt adventurous and decided to try out their special seafood tacos ($7 each) and pozole soup ($11) they have been advertising on the poster. What a mistake and wasted $30 on dinner for myself (wish I took photos). The only part okay was the pozole soup but not worth the $11 they charge. The soft corn shell was doubled up and put in a steamer for 15 seconds. However when I ate the taco, the shell was still quite cold and because it wasn't warm it totally ruined the taco. I decided that I'll just use my spoon and eat the filling but that was just equally bad. It's like they put lobster bits mixed in with thin slices of cabbage and your choice of salsa. It was quite dry, flavorless and cold. It would be better if the lobster was hot server with onion, cilantro and salsa. Along with warm corn tortilla shells! The service wasn't great but I know it's a tough time to find good employees especially for fast food joints. They treat customers as if they have been here and know how things work. I watched as some guy new to the place struggled to place his order. If I do return I'll stick with the burrito or enchiladas.

Campbell River's Mexican Subway, located in the corner of Timberline Village! Delicious food with friendly service, definitely a good choice for a family meal. Tacos, burritos, enchiladas, taco salads or burrito bowls, serving your food however you want it

I’m sorry, but, this is far and away the worst fast food Mexican experience I’ve had. I couldn’t even finish my burrito, it tasted like most of the ingredients were sitting out for hours (meat included) - it had no flavour and frankly I could have made one that tasted 3x better at home for half of the price. Queso tasted just like the kind I remember as a kid… from my $2 lunchables. Chips tasted like the cheapest you could possibly buy from the store. Trust me, I really wanted to like this place since the location is convenient… but, a lot of work needs to be done to make it worthwhile to come by here again. Hopefully the business takes negative reviews seriously and looks for...

I had gone to the Campbell River Taco del Mar three times. The first time the counter fellow swiped the remains of the last order off the counter onto the floor. He said he would clean it up later. The lack of hygiene worried me. Every time I went in there the person behind the counter asked me what was I charged for the food last time? The lack of consistency really bothered me. The food was alright but there was no consistent pricing policy. They need to have a consistent business plan so the customer knows what they are ordering. There is a strong sense of lack of training. With the disappointing experience I had, I...
