Service was slow, and other tables that arrived after we did were served first. Had to flag down the hostess to get water and ask if someone was coming to take order. Atmosphere...well, it hasn't been updated probably since it opened. One of my teens called it 'vintage'. Ehich is fine, I don't judge a book by it's cover. As for the food...DO NOT go there expecting good clams. Unless you love bland batter and a millisecond of the tiniest taste of clam AND enjoy paying $27 for it, go for it. I scrapped the batter off, hoping to find the clam and get better taste. It only resulted in a plate full of batter. I regret not sending it back after the first bite. I was too hopeful. July 25/25. We enjoyed our breakfast so much in the morning on our trip to Moncton that we decided to stop for our supper on the way back. The morning food and service was a 5 but the supper service was a 1 at best. I know it was busy but it took 10 minutes for our waitress to finally take our order. The food was great but the waitress didn’t even check in to see how we were doing with our food. I think this is a staffing problem as she appeared to be serving at different ends of the restaurant. I think it would be better for your customers if your servers had areas to serve instead of random tables. When we were done I had to get another waitress to find our waitress so we could get our bill and leave. We go to Moncton and always stop at your restaurant for food but not sure...

Been going to Freds for years with no problems. Today I celebrated my parents birthday there and the waitress was so unfriendly and unskilled. It was around 2:00 and the restaurant was not busy. We got our menus and then had to wait about 15 minutes for our order to be taken…the younger waitress had to notify our waitress to take our order. She seemed distracted. Then we did not receive our water/drinks or rolls until we asked for them…by that time our orders were ready and our fries were cold by the time she brought it to our table.
