We love the food, the servers, the location. This is why we always come back again and again and bring our out of town ( out of province) guests here every time. And come to you for our special anniversary dates too. That said....The only thing I don't like is when we reserve and ask for a window we invariably get put smack dab in the middle of the room ( makes us very uncomfortable) even though there were 4 window tables available ( with no "reserved" sign on them). If we'd come late for our anniversary dinner reservation instead of being on time perhaps we would've been given any one of the 4 free window tables! Those window tables can seat more people so I understand the restaurant's hesitation giving up a bigger table for just a couple but in the end all those 4 tables were given to twosomes.... This is the second time we've asked for a window there, last time with out of town guests and they tried to seat us in a dark back corner. Our guests were not happy. We had reserved for an earlier booking so it was daylight and they could enjoy the view of the Cardigan river....fortunately the restaurant was able to find us a much better table but there had been quite a bit of push-back from the staff that time, which made us uncomfortable trying to get what we had infact Reserved ( well in advance)...out of town guests usually spend a lot of money once they are here on the island and that night was no exception. Please Clamdiggers honour your...

We had an absolutely incredible time here. Our service was extremely friendly and attentive, even with such a busy restaurant. We had a reservation 3 days prior but we were able to adjust the time day of, so we really appreciated them for that!

This was the best seafood meal I've had on this island. I got the seafood platter which included a huge lobster, crab leg cluster (4 legs and a claw), scallops, shrimp AND a bowl of mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce with garlic bread. My partner got the lobster platter with potato salad and mussels. Our server told us our lobsters were being pulled out of the water as we speak, and they were the tastiest lobster i've ever had.

Those complaining about wait time, it's barely a wait for what you're getting in such a large restaurant with so many diners inside and out, plus they're quick bringing out the drinks!

Staff is friendlier than ever, we asked to sit on the patio- they said absolutely but warned us about bugs and we were sure glad they did! We stayed inside and loved the atmosphere. This is an absolute must visit if you're on the east shore- and definitely worth the drive from farther! Be aware of mosquitos if you're making a reservation for sunset.

Thank you Clam Diggers, you were the best part of our...

We had a very disappointing experience here last night. Our server, Emma, seemed a bit disengaged from the start. We initially ordered a bottle of wine, only to be told it was out of stock. After placing our appetizer and entrée orders, we waited 45 minutes without receiving any food—and more importantly, without any check-in or communication from our server.

While we understand that delays can happen, especially on a busy night, attentive service and communication are essential. Unfortunately, Emma spent most of the time behind the bar chatting with coworkers, and we had to leave our table to ask about our order. When the appetizers finally arrived, she dropped them off with a curt, “Sorry, we’re a bit busier than usual tonight,” after we had already been seated for over an hour.

The entrées arrived shortly after. Some were okay, but one steak sandwich was clearly reheated—soggy bread and overly crunchy fries made it unappetizing. We also had to repeatedly ask for water refills.

Overall, it felt like our table was an afterthought. Basic customer service from Emma—like checking in, being courteous, and communicating honestly—would have gone a long way in improving our experience. Sadly, we left feeling frustrated...

From the moment we stepped foot into the establishment, we were greeted by a team of exceptional individuals whose warmth and professionalism created an atmosphere of pure hospitality. Even as the closing hours approached, the staff's dedication to our enjoyment remained unwavering, extending an invitation to linger over steaming cups of aromatic coffee and delectable desserts. My choice, the Lobster Supper, was a revelation of epic proportions. Each morsel of lobster meat exuded tenderness and succulence, as if it had been plucked from the depths of the ocean mere moments before gracing my plate. With each exquisite bite, the marriage of the lobster and the velvety butter bathed my palate in an unparalleled symphony of flavors, an enchanting dance of richness and delight. Not content with merely tantalizing our taste buds with the main attraction, the culinary artisans bestowed upon me a generous portion of mussels, an unexpected treasure that effortlessly stole the show. Nestled within a luscious broth that sang with harmonious notes of tantalizing flavors, these plump jewels of the sea brought forth an explosion of taste sensations that left me yearning for more.

Undecided on this review. Had the crab cakes appetizer, seemed like more filler than crab meat. We both ordered the lobster supper, which was very well priced. Included bread, mussels, potato salad and coleslaw were good. But there was no sauce with the mussels so I don’t understand the bread. The lobster was a hard shell, not a soft shell (aka shedder), which means you get more meat but the meat is tough and not as sweet. And it means the chef needs to crack the shell more as the customer will never be able to, regardless of what tools you get. It wasn’t cracked sufficiently. And it wasn’t as tasty as a soft shell, although, yes, you get more meat. Presentation was VERY nice. Parking can be very tight if they’re busy. Clean washrooms. It’s kid friendly so be prepared for tables with screeeeeaming kids. Service was good although the food wait time was a bit long. Not sure I would return, sorry.
