Buns & Things Bakery — Restaurant in Charlottetown

I have only been at Buns & Things twice. The 1st time was New Years Eve and I got a raisin pie. I didn't notice the date on the pie until later that evening when I went to have some. It expires the very next day. I was surprised that they didn't mark it down because they were closed on New Year's Day so I couldn't return it. The crust was super tough and there wasn't a lot of Filling so I was disappointed. I did decide to go back and try again just over a week later and I got another raisin pie. This time the crust was better and there was an ok amount of filling. It was way better than the 1st one. I told the girls about the 1st one but they didn't say anything to me or offer a discount on my purchase which I thought was a bit odd. I also got their spider cookies and they were really good. Both the pie and the cookies had a good expiry date which made me happy because I can't eat all that stuff in one day lol! I was disappointed because I really wanted to try their banana cream pie but both times I was there they didn't have any. Hopefully next time they will. They do have good prices on most of their products so that impressed me. I would recommend this bakery but I would look at the expiry date...

I don't think that anything can compare to happy staff. It says a lot about the business that you always get a smiling and chipper face when you drop in here!

Excellent spot to pick up a sandwhich, ready made meal, sweets and of course- bread. I was able to order a sourdough here- they were out but happy to make a batch. I was able to pick it up the next day and have been enjoying it since!

I love how quickly they can slice your bread thick.or thin as well. I picked up a single piece of carrot cake too- which is nice when you don't want to take a whole tray of it home alone!

The reason I rate this so highly is because of the OVER THE TOP CUSTOMER SERVICE by a girl named "Sam" which I can only assume must be short for Samantha!!! I had no intention of stopping in at all but because i required wifi and could stand in a warm bakery briefly brought me inside...
