J's Pizza — Restaurant in Chilliwack

I ordered a small pepperoni pizza and a medium J's House Special. I am told that a new staff member took the order did the pizzas. There was very little sauce on the base of the pizzas and very few toppings on the pizzas. The pizzas basically had no taste, just doughy. I discussed this with the manager and he reviewed the new employee's work and then made me two new pizzas that looked and tasted like the ones we had been ordering for the last 10+ years. We were loyal customers and usually ordered for 2 people monthly consistently and at times for as high as 17 people. I had previously rated the food at 5 stars over the last 10 years but am deducting a star for this particular order. If the orders in the future come out as good and consistently as the manager's pizza's did today in the future, I will adjust my rating back to a 5. I am hoping this is not the start of policy of "shrinkflation" by scrimping on toppings. The manager was at least open to trying to make this terrible order right and up to the standard that J's has had over the last several years. That is why I did not drop my rating from 5 to 1 star. So for starters while ordering over the phone we had to repeat the entire order like 7 times... On top of this when my girlfriend went into the store to pay and pick it up, they weren't wearing masks?

Then he gave us the wrong pizza and rushed outside after she got back into the vehicle with me. HE TOOK THE PIZZA BACK... This is not a Covid safe restaurant, they should have never touched that pizza again. It turned out that he had accidently given us someone else's pizza, so then he proceeds to bring that pizza back into the store and swap it for our actual order... My girlfriend told me after that the back kitchen staff made a snooty comment about getting a free size larger and that she should appreciate the deal she was getting. Rude & Unclean. Id rather pickup a pizza in Abbotsford and drive it all the way to Chilliwack than order from them again. Domino's is...

Multiple times now, I will ask for extra pizza sauce. They will add to bill but never actually do it. First time, call in. No extra sauce.

Second time, walk in and watch them put extra sauce on computer screen but still no extra sauce. Especially after default /suggested tip Please fix this! Your machine by default asks for minimum of 15% tip. $3-5

If you’re ordering and picking up in person you shouldn’t have to tip. You’re not waiting on me at a table like a restaurant. I still tipped $2-3 thinking that would ensure my request I’m paying for an extra spoonful of pizza sauce. But no!
