Solielki Asian Buffet beckons with promises of a captivating dining experience. Upon stepping into the restaurant, one is immediately struck by the expansive layout, inviting decor, and the tantalizing aroma of Asian cuisine. The vast dining area sprawls elegantly, offering ample space for patrons to enjoy their meals.
The restaurant's aesthetic charm is undeniable – a harmonious blend of modern design elements and Asian-inspired motifs. The ambiance is nothing short of captivating, creating an environment that fosters a sense of relaxation and anticipation for the culinary journey ahead.
However, while the atmosphere promises grandeur, the buffet's food selection is a notable aspect that presents room for improvement. Despite the sprawling space and stunning ambiance, the offerings at Solielki Asian Buffet leave something to be desired. The range of choices, while satisfactory, could certainly benefit from a more diverse selection.
Although the available dishes maintain the flavors of Asian cuisine, the limited options might leave some diners hoping for a more extensive variety. The flavors are authentic, capturing the essence of the region's culinary heritage, but a broader spectrum of dishes could elevate the experience to new heights.
Yet, despite the somewhat limited array of choices, Solielki Asian Buffet's strength lies in its aesthetic appeal and potential for an unforgettable dining experience. The expansive dining area, combined with the tasteful decor, creates an ambiance that is sure to leave a lasting impression on guests.
In summary, Solielki Asian Buffet offers a visually captivating and spacious dining environment, setting the stage for a memorable meal. While the food selection may currently fall short of the grandeur promised by the setting, it's important to recognize that establishments often evolve and refine their offerings over time. With a little expansion of their culinary horizons, this buffet has the potential to truly shine and provide an experience that matches its...
Read moreI visited Soleilki Cold Lake multiple times in 2024 to catch up with friends. We agreed to go for a buffet and have more food options. Ice and her server consistently clear out used plates and refill drinks; we are well looked after. We love going to Soleilki because it has a dim sum, an ice cream mac1hine, and a chocolate fountain. During our visits, there were multiple times that the chocolate fountain was not working, and we were told that they were waiting for parts for the replacement of the motor, but that was a long time ago. There used to be dim sum and steamed buns every Friday and weekend, but they are now gone. The chocolate fountain was never fixed; even during our visit in December of 2024, it was still not working. Also, I noticed on our recent visit that there was no hot water from the faucet when we washed our hands in their washroom; the water was freezing. It is concerning that the price is that much to pay, but there is no dim sum, the ice cream machine is mostly not working and making a loud squeaky noise, and the chocolate fountain machine is not working, and it is literally a big metal on top of the table. This equipment sets Soleilki apart from other restaurants in the Lakeland area, and the new management is slowly removing it. I do not like the idea of this being the new management Soleilki refers to in their take-out menu inserts. Soleilki is not what it used to be when it was newly opened in Cold Lake. I hope they will keep the chocolate fountain, ice cream, dim sum and the way...
Read moreOne year later ... same time ... same day, Saturday ... dinner buffet. Everything breaded was dry and chewy, like it sat out for hours. Even the sushi rice was dry. Grandkids loved the fruit and jello. Our daughter and SIL enjoyed the desserts. Hubby and I enjoyed the spicy shrimp and egg rolls. The fish, which was brought out later (2 pieces) was fresh. Staff was excellent, as always. So, I guess it's a 'hit or miss' place.
One year ago, 2024: Went at 4.00 on a Saturday for the dinner buffet. Buffet includes standard Asian fare such as egg rolls, soups, teriyaki chicken, wings, chicken balls, beef & broccoli, ribs, BBQ pork, breaded shrimp, fried rice, pan fried noodles (2 varieties), mixed veg. Good assortment of sushi, plain shrimp. Standard western dishes like pizza, fries, etc. Dessert sections have cakes, pies, cookies, marshmallows etc at chocolate fountain, ice cream, fruits (cantaloupe, watermelon, peaches, strawberries), assortment of candy toppings. Dinner buffet has more variety than the lunch buffet. Waiters /waitresses were excellent. Food was fresh and...
