Visited Leduc Tutti Frutti on Sunday about 11:30 am. Party of 2. The restaurant was about 3/4 full with a steady stream of guests coming and going. There were 5 - 6 waitresses and table cleaning staff working. Service was very poor and the food quality was just OK and definitely not worthy of praise.
We waited an inordinate amount of time both for the taking of our order and delivery of our food. Our one coffee refill didn't happen until after we were finished our meals and that was after requesting a refill twice. No-one came to the table to ask how our meals were. Toast orders were dismal both in size and presentation (not sure why but we were charged $1.00 for one of the toast orders). No preserves on the table and none offered or delivered with the order. Trying to get the attention of any of the waitresses was nearly impossible.
This is a breakfast/lunch restaurant. I don't know if the problem was with the wait staff or with the kitchen staff but the entire experience was underwhelming. Other tables around ours were experiencing the same wait times as we were. Guests who were coming in with small children were experiencing the same long wait times for their orders to be delivered. Small children can't normally be expected to wait patiently and such was the case today.
First time to the Leduc Tutti Frutti and the last time to the Leduc...
Ā Ā Ā Read more*Our experience at this restaurant was underwhelming, especially given the higher pricing. The food was comparable to what you'd find at Smittyās, but at a premium cost that didnāt feel justified.
We tried the Philly steak casserole, which was disappointing. It contained only two small slivers of red and green pepper, and the meat was dry, seeming like it had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. The western omelet was decent (hard to mess that up), but I opted to add cheese, which I think was necessary to give it more flavor.
Another member of our party had the carnivore casserole, and it didnāt fare much better. The potatoes were undercooked, and the hollandaise sauce was thin, bland, and tasted like it came from a packet. Even the coffee was subpar - Tim Hortons, just across the parking lot, serves a better cup.
The fruit that accompanied our meals wasnāt much better. The mix included underripe pineapple, sour grapes, underripe cantaloupe, apples, and some strawberries, which were the only decent part.
Overall, the food was mediocre at best, and the prices didnāt reflect the quality. We wouldnāt go out of our...

The eggs were fake liquid egg stuff, they made us asking for real maple syrup into this whole thing. Like, is it not normal to give brunch customers actual maple syrup? We're in the middle of a national identity spat with our largest trading partner, surely some classic Real Canadian Maple Syrupā¢ļø would be reasonable; people don't want corn syrup disguised obliquely as "Pancake Toppingā¢ļø". They made a big deal about how they were "comping the maple syrup"... ??? How is it not coming with a waffle by default..
Cappuccino machine was broken, which is getting to be the coffee & brunch equivalent of the McDonald's icecream machine, but she did refill my drop coffee so many times.
Our server was lovely to us, but it was concerning when they screamed at the kitchen that my eggs weren't runny. Like, it's okay, nobody needs getting screamed at over non-runny eggs.
Didn't give you much juice...
