Was travelling through Lloydminster on an extended business trip and was looking for something other than a sandwich to get me through a long travel day while at the hotel. Googled Lloydminster restaurants, found this one on the map and decided to give it a shot. Best call I made during a 2 week trip and...
Best shwarma ever. EVER!
Have travelled all throughout North America and middle eastern food is among my favourites. I have never tasted anything like the beef shwarma here and the chicken shwarma is only slightly less tasty (only slightly).
On the way back through town 10 days later, I grabbed three wraps for the road and the next two night's dinners at home. (Others at home tried my food and stole half of it - shoulda known.)
Go to this place. You will not regret it.
Only thing that was kind of weird were fries in one if the wraps but just ask for none since it seems like filler that isnt needed since the everything else is so deliciously authentic.
Sorry for the rambling review but this place is just that good. My beltline is glad I don't live in...
Read moreThe shawarma and kebab options are great but I think the burgers are highly under rated and sometimes overlooked. Of all the Burger joints in town Cedar Kabob ranks high on my list and would likely be the first place I consider for sitting down for a burger. The cheese egg rolls caught out attention first and were the highlight to our meals. We also ordered fries on the side to compare with other restaurants and were delighted with the amount of taste and crisp the fries came with. The wraps, poutine, and salads never let me down but aren't my main highlights from this restaurant.
The service was good and we had no complaints. The wait for the food was average and it was definitely worth waiting for. I can't wait for another opportunity to bring company to cedar kabob and marvel at the burger and fries combos... 🤤🤤
On all occasions of trying their food, it's been a good experience each time and never failed to satisfy my hunger.
Thanks, Cedar Kabob! Keep up the...
Read moreI'm not in Lloydminster often but when I do visit, lunch has to be at Cedar Kabob, no exception. Their donairs and chicken taouk are on another level. This visit, I had the donair and a lamb wrap. Donair was delicious and tasted better than what I've had in Edmonton. Only drawback was perhaps the meat portions but I'm a glutton and can never have too much meat, but in all honesty, the donair was perfectly crafted and I should have ordered 2 of them. The lamb was very tasty but was inferior to the donair this time around. I had thought it was a ground lamb but in reality it was actual cubes of lamb meat. This added more chew than what I was expecting but it was enjoyable. Service was quick and friendly. Owners seem well liked and have a lot of regular customers visiting them. I fully recommend eating a donair here. No offence to the residents of Lloydminster but Cedar Kabob is the only reason why I love to visit Lloydminster and it's worth the drive...
