Wing'n It — Restaurant in Clarenville

First of all the portions were very generous and the server was pleasant and friendly. The restaurant and especially the bathroom was super clean and tidy. The onion rings were nice so we started out with high hopes. The quesadillas on the appetizer platter were very plain, just cheese and peppers but no seasonings at all that we could taste. The hamburger looked amazing and was pronounced very good. The calamari unfortunately was in some kind of batter instead of the usual "dusting" of a light coating. They were way over cooked leaving almost no taste on the rubbery calamari so not much was eaten. We chose not to take anything home and left a ton of food behind. The fries were nothing to write home about. Ahh, the wings. We had the wings with no coating or breading. Sadly they had been so overcooked that there wasn't much taste and absolutely no moisture. We had sauce on the side so maybe if they had been tossed in a flavourful sauce they might have been more acceptable although they would still be hard and dry. Although I am a well known chicken wing addict, if I go back I would have the Cobb salad as it looked terrific...

Great wings! (A review for the uninitiated.)

This was my first time at this chain, so I can't comment on how it compares to other locations. The wings were fantastic! Tender juicy meat, lightly breaded means actually lightly, and super saucy. There are easily over 100 flavours (including a handful of dry), and every category has spicy options. The spice is rated 1-5; I had a 2 and could just get some heat (my tolerance is about average). The single order of wings was over a pound. My "side" of fries was a whole basket, real potatoes. The garden salad was a standard chopped salad, but the ingredients were fresh. They do serve a lot of other things besides wings, if you want other options.

Restaurant was clean and everything had an airplane theme, large screen TV's mounted on every wall tuned to Sportsnet. A few beer options; nothing special there. The music was at a volume where you can have conversation. The service was a touch on the slow side, but the server was friendly. Will definitely go there again...

First off the food was great and the portions were good, a lot of fries with the Wing Dinner and the kids cheeseburger.

My problem was with the service, we went in around 1:30 on a Friday and were told we could sit anywhere we liked. We sat near the main entrance and waited for around 30-35 minutes before anyone came to take our order. Then it was another 20-25 mins for our order to be ready, and one item wasn't right.

We feel we were forgotten until another group came in, it was to the point that if we hadn't been served we were going to walk out to go elsewhere. My partner had gotten up and gone to the bathroom while we were waiting, I'm not sure if...
