McDonald's — Restaurant in Clarington

Have been going to this McDonalds for quite some time, 2-3 years. Drive through is almost always a miss- it’s surprising when my order is 100% right. Which is sad considering the service is not worth what you pay. Most of the time I go there’s one or two cars in the drive through and empty parking lot. So not busy at all. That being said, I’ve never ordered anything crazy. Just very simple combos or coffee’s. This past summer I had asked for sugar free coffees- every time I was given with sugar. Most people don’t see this as a big issue but there are people who are diabetic and can’t just turn back to get refunds every time because it’s an inconvenience and shouldn’t have to be done to begin with. It’s a simple simple order.

I have lost a lot of money on items missed from my orders but I do not have the energy and time to come back and fight. Unfortunately this is the only spot near me to come by and stop for a somewhat treat or just convenience..

Tonight was a disappointing night. I thought would go in for a change and order inside. I have guests over who are leaving to the city shortly. I thought I’d get them their teas for the road. I asked for two earl grey teas one double double and one 2 cream..... again simple. I was given two COFFEES. Unbelievable...... it’s frustrating, embarrassing and sad because I know a lot of people like the convenience of having this place close by. But this is not a big city and it was not busy for this type of negligence every single time. Theres no excuse for the poor service. Management is got to do something about the lack of simple skills to take an order and give what’s ordered. It’s not free and everyone is paying for what they should be getting. It’s very simple. So right off the bat I'm gonna say this is not a review of McDonald's. It's a McDonald's, they are all the same, they are greasy, they suck and you're still goning to go anyway. This is a critique of the verbal aneurysm of a review left by K. Austin (see attached images). I've seen a lot of bad reviews, in fact I've left a lot of bad reviews but my god K. Austin puts my worst verbal diarrhea to shame. Firstly from a purely grammatical perspective what are you even doing? CAPITALISATION gOeS at the beginning OF senTences AnD Names, IT's NoT LiteraRY DecoRation you can JUst SCATTer about all willy nilly. It makes you look like your having a stroke which based on you're over use of elipsies you just might be. Are you able to lift both your arms above your head? Do you smell toast? Secondly, from a content perspective what are you even on about? You got credit at a McDonald's? How about get that in writing before you assume some minimum wage kid with a thousand better things to do cares about the fifty cents you are owed on your big Mac. People like you are everything wrong with society. You don't care about fixing problems you just want something to be angry about to distract yourself from the fact that you're an adult with no marketable skills who couldn't land a job fliping burgers if your parents ever decided to start charging you rent for their basement. You couldn't even be bothered to learn the English language before you went clogging up the McDonald's review page with your word vomit. I would rate this location NEGATIVE stars if I had the option. I moved to Newcastle LAST summer and EVERY SINGLE time I've ate here SOMETHING has been incorrect or I just didn't even receive my whole order that I paid for. JUST TONIGHT I was missing fries from my order...so I went back in and got my fries...THEN my boyfriend's sandwich was WRONG and we realized when we were already half way home. . So BACK we went.... while paying for this order we decided to PAY and not even bother bringing up how we have a credit with them to receive our next meals free from them failing to give us our whole order our last visit....but when my boyfriend went back in about his sandwich he brought it up and they were completely clueless and said there was no record or notes left about it!! This place is SO poorly ran and the staff clearly pay no attention to orders. Many times I've went through the drive through trying to give them chance after chance to redeem themselves and staff have been goofing around, laughing into the speaker while I'm trying to order and making me repeat myself. Also, 9 times out of 10 they make you "pull up" and wait for your order .... which will be WRONG and GROSS when you get it anyway. I'm going to be driving to Bowmanville next time I feel like McDonalds because this place is all around GARBAGE. GARBAGE SERVICE AND GARBAGE FOOD!!! Please...
