El Centro Pizza — Restaurant in Cole Harbour

Well I FINALLY got to try El Centro tonight for the first time. 5 stars all the way around. Quick service and REALLY generous with the toppings. You cannot go wrong when you see REAL sliced bacon on garlic fingers and pizza. I highly recommend this place and I'll definitely be going back again. Trying the wings I've heard so much about next. Thanks for the great food guys!EDIT** Just tried the Classic Shawarma wrap. Just fantastic! Very generous portions, excellent homemade garlic sauce, everything tasted just great. Had a conversation with a very friendly employee that recommended I try the Lebanese Shawarma wrap the next time and explained the difference between the Classic and the Lebanese wrap. I'll definitely try the Lebanese Shawarma wrap the next time. I'm going to edit this review every time I try something different from El Centro. Everything I have had so far has been totally awesome. I thought Eli's was my favorite place for wings in HRM, but this place has ever MORE flavors, which excites me a bit too much. LOL Tried their Original dry rub last night to share with a friend, and they were great. (Not sure which ingredients make up the Original, but that's supposed to be their secret, I suppose). With a side of Buffalo sauce, they were just great.

2nd visit: ordered Black Magic rub wings with Chipotle sauce. When I got home, they seemed battered. I realized that I hadn't asked for non-battered, nor had been asked. They were still very good for a 'fried chicken' but I always want my wings unbattered. Lesson learned for next time to specify. Nonetheless, the rub was tasty, not hot, reminded me of something you may get in a bag of Doritos. Lol Paired decently with the sauce.

Tiny place without a single table, but that's OK. They held up well for the 20 minute drive home.

Ordered online, went to pick up our order and it was not ready and said that it had never been placed. When we showed both the confirmation text and email, the man behind the counter said it wasn't his fault and the order went to the wrong place in their app after trying to tell us we ordered from another location. No apology was offered and service was, at best, unpleasant if not rude.

They put our order on after this, requiring another wait of 20 minutes. While waiting in line with others, several shared stories of why their orders were late, wrong, or a combination of the two. Then our order still had a mistake in it.

The only reason we keep going back is that the pizza is excellent. The toppings, the crust and the flavor are exceptional. It's a frustrating dining experience but...
