Kims' Cafe — Restaurant in Coquitlam

It’s rare to come across a non-chain food place that sells sandwiches and wraps. I was pleasantly surprised by how great everything tasted. The quality of the food served here is easy to tell based on the freshness of the ingredients, and it’s quite clear that they put in the effort to make sure that everything is fresh and delicious. Their bread is what I think makes their sandwiches taste so great (I’m a sourdough fan myself). It’s not your typical grocery-store bought bread, and it plays a huge role in the flavor factor. I was inclined to get the soup since a lot of the other customers at the time were getting them, and I can see why. It tastes homemade and fresh, which makes me consider trying all their soups. They also serve daily specials like chicken teriyaki with rice which I also enjoyed. The portion was generous for the price, and the chicken was crispy which made it much more enjoyable than the typical soft/mushy chicken teriyaki from other places. This café is in a secluded area and it’s one of the healthier available options for breakfast/lunch. It’s also nice to see how the staffs here know their regulars’ names and usual orders. We visited this restaurant 2 times in a month. We had Hawaiian burger combo(burger, fries, coffee), bacon cheese burger, everything omelette. Their burger bun was so perfect. It wasn't greesy, wasn't over cooked dry. And also the meat was perfectly cooked with very juicy and fresh tomato and lettuce. The everything omelette was another perpect food. The vegetables( bell peppers) were grilled so that you can taste the fire with own flavours. The egg was perfect medium firmess. I had the poutine, avocado wrap, and bulgogi cupbap here, and they were all absolutely delicious! The quality of the food was outstanding, with the perfect balance of flavors in the poutine and the rich, savory taste of the bulgogi cupbap.
