Boston Pizza — Restaurant in Corner Brook

Went there yesterday evening, at around 5pm, with my parents. The four waitresses couldn't figure out where to seat us, despite at least two booths being visible from the main entrance.

When we were seated, it took a little while to get our menus and drinks, maybe 20 minutes. After that, took over 40 minutes to get our food. I had the BBQ burger meal, mom had French onion soup, and dad had the soup of the day (which was the Italian wedding). My food was warm, as was my mom's. Dad's was cold. The waitress took it back without hesitation, and dad got his soup back. It was warm that time. The waitress said that the soup wasn't warm because the boiler wasn't working correctly, or something like that. Disheartening, for a number of reasons. It's a new restaurant, so you would think that their equipment would be in working order. Also, one would expect a restaurant would take better care of the temperature of the food they're serving The food should be piping hot if you're waiting a long time for it.

The food itself was OK. My burger was tasty, and the fries were done well. The soups were OK, if salty. Quite expensive for the portions, though.

The wait staff were friendly, but they never checked up on us through our visit. It would have been nice if they offered a refill on the water, or to offer an explanation for the wait time. I appreciate that they were busy, but I've seen more efficient work done with fewer wait staff.

I just left from one of my worst dining experiences ever! Server was ignorant, did not check on us and when someone else checked on an item that was missing from the burger and said would be right back, I waited for someone to look over so I could remind or ask so I can try my burger.. Everyone else at my table was done their meal and I finally gave up and tried the new menu burger I was very excited to try, which was very cold, Mac and cheese on it was cold and the onion ring was disgusting after sitting. When the server finally came back she said "oh you don't like it" well no its cold, it's my first bite after waiting being told the Missy would be right back or else I wouldn't have waited. When explaining it to the server she just said okay and walked away very rudely and the table was in shock from how rude she handled it. Came back said she'd take it off or get something else... well everyone else ate and I wasn't gonna let them wait forever again just for me to get a meal and then eat it as well. So i said take it off and she said okay well I have to take this from you and took the plate away. The ceaser salad that came with it was horrible too, little bit of dressing on one of the 6 leaves. She never even said sorry or gave a care in the world. This experience made me and who came with me that saw what happened will be sure to never go or order from here again. Went here for supper. Our waitress, Sandi was sub par at best. They're definitely not doing any favors by having her work there. About 5 tables in the restaurant. Waited about 10 mins before anyone even acknowledged we were waiting to be seated. Finally seated and within about 15 mins our waitress got our drinks and took our order. We noticed that the table we sat at next to the window was swarming with fruit flies. My husband kept trying to bat them away. Our food was brought out by other staff and dropped to the table. We immediately noticed there was a fruit fly in my husband's dip. Then I saw one crawling up my plate. Absolutely disgusting. We decided to take our food and leave but our waitress was still no where to be found. Grabbed some boxes from another waitress and asked for the bill. Our waitress did finally show up with our bill and when we told her about all the fruit flies ger response was, it's summer, it happens. I've never been so disgusted with a restaurant in my life. If they hire sensible staff that may actually do some cleaning, the problem...
