Rivière Pizza — Restaurant in Cowansville

I have ordered from here plenty of times. Recently called in and was treated like dirt because I spoke English after a lady asked if I speak French and I said no she than kind of chuckled and than gave the phone to some guy who was rude as well. When I asked for the price at the end he said "Is it really that important? Well you will have to wait then" (Since others were calling in so he put me on hold.) So I'm not sure who these two servers are but they weren't very kind over the phone once I said I speak English. That's not very good for business as I order from here quite often and never had this issue before. This happened tonight to me on Saturday July 2nd, 2022 at 5:26pm. Way to make me feel small. Used to have a nice woman who would kindly speak English to me whenever I'd call. As for the food, it's pretty good although sometimes too greasy.

Ordered supper again, this time with my family. Must have gotten the same lady again because as soon as I spoke English. She speaks back to me in French asking for someone else who will speak French to her. Absolutely ridiculous I had to hand phone to my aunt. If it had been just me who knows what would have happened. I should be allowed to order in English. Ugh!

My sub was super greasy, with burnt onions and chicken. (Grease literally was dripping at the bottom) My aunt also said her fried chicken tasted like eating rubber.

I'm really extremely annoyed with this whole "won't talk to you in English" issue going on here though. There's one woman who will speak English to me there but seems the rest will only speak French when I'm obviously speaking English.. other restaurants like Med Pizza in Cowansville are fine with speaking English to me when I order. It's sad!

Seems that even though food prices are much higher, the quality is lower and whoever working there makes you feel pretty small for speaking English. Guess I will have to go elsewhere for ordering.. was hoping my previous review would stop that nonsense. It's too bad. I was a customer here for awhile. But...

called to ask about the new Wrap they are selling to see exactly what is in it because i was interested on ordering it. i ask nicely if i can change the sauce that is in it to something else, like a bbq sauce and if u cant put it in it. put it on the side or offer me there sauce options and the man on the phone got insulted by my request and said that i refuse to do it that way. Boy im not asking you to eat it, this is how i want it how i want to eat it. if someone asks for food a certain way make it that way dont get pissy and give attitude. no wonder why everyone doesnt wanna order from this...

I have been a loyal customer since 2010 and also worked with them and this place is absolutely adorable and food is great!! I can confirm that the owner is extremely honest and care about his customers. Those who call to complain and disrespect us on the phone about prices changes and making false accusations when they still have 2020/2021 menu is ridiculous.
