Staying at a local Air BnB, this place was mentioned quite a few times in the local guest book so we decided to drive in and check it out. I must admit - it's a bit confusing. There's doors to go inside, but there is also a walk up window. We weren't really sure where to go or what to do, and especially with COVID we try to make sure we are doing the right thing and going the right way. Could definitely benefit from some additional signage or instructions. We decided to go inside because it was raining pretty hard - and walked into people sat at tables eating sushi; it was very odd! We were asked if we wanted to look at a menu, and weren't sure if they meant for food or ice cream. We mentioned that we wanted to order ice cream, and they pointed behind us. So overall, the experience and location was very confusing. On the plus side, once we figured it out, we both left with some ice cream which was, in fact, delicious! We could have benefitted from some ice cream flavour descriptions - as I'm not sure I know what 'dinosaur bones' or 'hoof prints' is. I stuck with birthday cake and s'mores (both self explanatory) with a butterfinger dipped waffle cone. My husband had a chocolate mint dipped waffle cone. We both agreed they were delicious; a bit on the pricey side at $15 but very good quality ice cream!

Very disapointed. My husband and I are avid sushi eaters. We are from Ontario and we're looking forward to having sushi on the East Coast where we assumed it would be fresher, possibly large portions at a better price. This sushi was such a disappointment. First off the picture you see is $100 worth of sushi. Take a second to let that sink in. They were such small rolls and were mostly rice. I regret not following other people's reviews that it was not worth the price. Places in Ontario will provide you with twice the rolls (in size and quantity) with 15-20 pieces of sashimi for $80. I was looking forward to beautiful pieces of tuna, shrimp, crab, scallops and salmon. All we got was a smidgen of meat with mostly rice. Even the rolls which had a very small slice of avocado was brown. This is an embarrassment to Canada's East coast. It's sad that an Ontario Sushi restaurant can beat a Nova Scotian restaurant in price and quality.

Came here for lunch, specifically for some Korean food. Walked in to a very casual restaurant, nicely decorated, and very clean. We were lucky, the manager came and offered us the menu and asked what we would like. We wanted Korean food :) We ordered a chicken bibimbap and a beef bibimbap. The good option was the chicken katsu. The 2 plates came in the traditional bowls, steaming hot, looked amazing The food was perfectly seasoned and the taste was spot on, delicious. The flavours were the same as we had in Korea, perfect amount of kimchi with a perfect, little on the spicy side, tasty sauce. Loved every spoonful of it. Can’t wait to go back. The service - excellent.

As a couple who eats out on average 2-3 times a week we haven’t had many occasions that we’ve been motivated to write a bad review, but our Honey Bee experience was hard to ignore. We had their so-called curry, the chicken with rice & the vegetable ramen noodles. The vegi ramen dish had a few strands of cabbage, 3 small pieces of broccoli & two carrot shavings and tasted like Lipton noodle soup in a box, see the attached picture of the $16 vegi dish. The chicken dish looked & tasted like pork what there was of it. You’d be hard pressed to taste curry in either dish. We can’t comprehend the other ratings here, maybe because of the sushi, which is also crazy expensive. Someone here said best sushi in NS, HARDLY. Compared to Sushi Fang in New Minas the sushi “MIGHT” be a comparable product but the price is double. Oh by the way want some spicy (heat) to add to your bland dish you’ll pay $2 for hot sauce, no they won’t bring you crushed chillies to add to your dish. As for the ice cream $4 for a small cone, 1 scoop of Scotsburn, same product as every other ice cream place around. Oh, almost forgot to mention the waitress with the long scraggly pig tails hanging off the front of her shoulders, seriously! Room temperature water, & the place was way too warm, was afraid to ask how much ice in your water cost!

It’s a little disconcerting that owner didn’t understand concern with waitresses hair had nothing to do with her personality & everything to do with hygiene! Owner fails to address concerns & answers all critics with an invitation to come back again. You get one chance to make an impression in restaurant business onus is on the restaurant to satisfy the customer not on the customer to keep come back & dropping big bucks until their satisfied. Once bitten twice shy.

Food is bland & made as cheap as possible & at a premium price. As people who’ve enjoyed various types of Asian food & restaurants from coast to coast in large and small communities across Canada & USA Honey Bee is at or near the bottom of our experience. I would suggest you go to Superstore & pick up one of their Asian sauces & do your tastebuds & pocketbook a favour.

Thank you for the offer Sonia (owner), we choose to decline however, your business model does not suit our sense of a reasonable price for the product delivered & will allow our critique to stand. Of course everyone is entitled to judge for themselves....

Ah, dearest denizens of this peculiar age, should one chance upon the quaint township of Yarmouth, permit me to lavish upon thee a recommendation most resplendent. A gem so unexpected, it might as well be a diamond in a coal bin. Imagine, if you will, a haven of culinary delight nestled in the heart of provincial obscurity!

Upon my visit to this unexpectedly remarkable establishment, I partook in their tofu teriyaki and avocado sushi, a dish so artfully prepared it could rival the feasts of a royal court. The flavors, a harmonious symphony, danced upon my palate with the grace of a well-rehearsed minuet.

But, oh, the service! A display of hospitality so superb it might well bring a tear to the eye of even the most stoic dowager. The owner—a paragon of kindness and positivity—welcomed us not as mere patrons but as long-lost relations, rendering the experience akin to a joyful family reunion.

And let us not overlook the pièce de rÊsistance: the butterscotch ripple ice cream. Its luscious texture and divine flavor transcended the mortal realm, all presented in a waffle cone selection so varied it could rival the wardrobe of a duchess.

In summation, this establishment is nothing short of exceptional, a veritable delight to both spirit and stomach. I implore thee, my fellow wanderers, to hasten henceforth to this...
