A long awaited visit that fell a bit flat

I’ve heard so many good things about Erika’s and have wanted to visit for years. today, I finally had the opportunity to stop in with my husband. The atmosphere was charming and cozy, though a bit tight on space. We still enjoyed browsing the store and taking it all in.

Unfortunately, once we reached the counter to order, we didn’t feel a particularly warm or welcoming energy from the staff, which took away from the overall experience. We ordered an iced coffee that was just okay, a breakfast bagel that was decent but not especially memorable, and a coconut butter tart. As a butter tart enthusiast, I was especially excited for that, but sadly, I didn’t even finish it. It was a letdown.

Overall, our experience was pretty mediocre. That said, we’re still open to giving Erika’s another try during lunch hours, hoping for a more positive vibe and...

To be totally honest this place I think is one of the best in Muskoka for homemade food. Everything is made from scratch right on the premises. The sandwiches are amazing. Also the pastries are to die for. It reminds me of going to grandma's house when I was a little boy. The only thing is they won't let you lick the bowl. Lol. I ordered a bacon & cheese sandwich & it was done to perfection. I also had a date square & two raisin butter tarts with a coffee. The food is totally amazing. Erika makes everything from scratch. That's what makes it so good & the best in my opinion. It's a little pricey & a bit of a drive to get their from the Huntsville area but its totally worth it. Trust me, you won't be...

We recently stayed at an Airbnb in Dwight and wanted to support their local businesses while there. We ordered in some pizza from Erika's - large Deluxe and personal cheese ... The pizza is phenomenal!! So many toppings and super cheesy! The crust is the perfect combination of thin and crispy yet soft and supportive for all the toppings. Thoroughly enjoyed it. While waiting for the pizza to be done, I browsed around their shop. I noticed a sign advertising their butter tarts. The plain were okay but the ones with raisins... Oh boy! Incredible. We also tried their Muskoka Squares - different but yummy. We will definitely be returning when we are in the area again. Expect yummy food, good prices and...

This is a must stop for a quick breakfast! It reminds me of a cafe/bakery you’d see in British Columbia more so than Ontario. I got the breakfast bagel and it was soooooooo delicious, I’m very impressed. I also got some OJ and a chai latte that was super good. They had all kinds of delicious looking desserts as well as sandwiches for lunch and a variety of coffees and teas. There’s quite a bit of parking and there’s a fake moose and bear across the road. Maybe someone would want to take a photo with them. The staff were nice and friendly and did an amazing job making everything fresh.

Absolutely a charming cafe, restaurant and store. Fantastic coffee, super and I mean super nice staff. I had a banana muffin with a black coffee and it was awesome. The store is filled with eclectic gifts and the restaurant seems to be a local hotspot. In fact, a local recommended it to me. I met Erika and she is genuine and a great entrepreneur. The staff reflected that. So if you are ever on the area it's worth a drop in for that country store feeling . No this isn't an ad, this is just one of the few places that earned a 5 star in my books. It is also wheelchair accessible.
