Rating based on manger's tone with staff
I was in line inside this location yesterday morning around 9am and was quite disappointed to hear how the manager (Phil) was speaking with one of his staff members (Tammy I believe). He had asked her to put two sandwiches in a bag and she set them out for him forgetting to put them in a bag, keep in mind the drive thru was full and also a line up inside and she was the only one making food. When you saw that Tammy had forgotten to put the sandwiches in a bag together you walked over and grabbed the sandwiches and threw them at/in the garbage bin in front of a lineup of people all to witness you humiliate her and belittle her. It made me uncomfortable to watch this as a customer considering you could have quietly reminded her of what you asked. If anything I think that you should be the one who feels embarrassed by your display as a manager. If you want your staff to respect you and work hard for you then you need to show them the respect that you want in return, Tammy ended up being released to go on a break because she was so flustered one of the other staff members knew she needed space after you humiliating her in front of her coworkers and customers.
People are human and people make mistakes it's you as a manager that is supposed to recognize that and encourage your staff to do better instead of power trip and belittle them to make them feel like they aren't good enough.
Some advice is to be more positive and encouraging in a scenario like that, you could've easily said "Tammy I would really appreciate if you could pay more attention and put the sandwiches in a bag together like I had asked". Positive reinforcement will get you better quality work from your staff. You are human yourself so please take this as a learning curve as a manager to better how you...
Read moreThis was by far the worst customer service. The girl at the front cash on June 28th at 5pm. My mother asked if I could bring my daughter in to use the washroom, they said yes so I came in. There was one man at the cash and one man in the washroom. She said you gotta wait outside. Only 4 people allowed at a time. There was two of us and two other people in the store. Isn't that four? So I politely make my way outside as someone else comes into the store. I wait 5 minutes til a man leaves. No one still coming out of the washroom. At this point there is me,my daughter, a woman ordering and a guy still in the washroom. That's four. The washroom had no toilet paper and was covered in dirt and pee. We don't use the washroom, just wash our hands and head back out. When we get out, there are four people in the store. As I am exiting, she tells me I cannot use that door, it is entrance only. Every person that came in and out during my awful visit used that door. So again, I politely walk to the other door and quietly leave. I am the person who called you just after to inform you of your very poor and clearly unbalanced customer service. I would be less disappointed if I didn't have my child. But really. I worked Tim Hortons for years and never did I treat people differently and never did I disrespect someone like this. If you're a mother, think about how mad you would be if this was you...
Read moreAbout as typical a Tim's as they generally come. Familiar and economically priced. Close to Bracebridge's main retail/fast food area. One of two Tims in town, the other on the way to Home Depot/Walmart. There is another Lake Muskoka Tim Hortons in Gravenhurst.
Just to the west of this Hwy 118w Tim Hortons, you will find one of two Lake Muskoka Star Bucks. Besides these two megalithic chains, nearly all Bracebridge coffee outlets have closed with the exception of Oliver's, which is found in six Lake Muskoka locations (and Huntsville.) There is also a Diesel House Coffee Roaster and Barista Coffee... opening May 2024.
PERSONALLY:
I suggest you might try Tim's DARK ROAST, particularly if you have always ordered the default/regular.
If you REALLY want to taste your coffee, stop adulterating it with milk (cream) and/or sugar etc.
I have enjoyed most Tim's blue berry (flavored) products... Damn it, Jim, we're (unhealthy?) Canadians after all! Regrettably, this location rarely has any...
At this time, there are no longer any Lake Muskoka proximate coffee houses with on-site roasters... However, you can buy whole beans and grind...
