Mammoth barbeque — Restaurant in Douro-Dummer

Here 2 weeks ago.

1. over charged, wanted mac n cheese add chicken $5 not $18 worth of chicken.
2. no pulled pork, had to order "burnt ends" (biggest regret, we'll get to that)
3. forgot half our order
4. there was a pile of cooked ribs just sitting outside and there were flies around us so you could only imagine the ribs!
5. 26 minutes later we received our full order
6. the "burnt ends" were the size of diced potatoes, deep fried till black and served with no sauce. Im sorry but burnt ends come with a sweet delicious glaze of honey, brown sugar, butter and bbq sauce if you want. They are at least 1.5inch cubes not centimeters. Worst experience of burnt ends over ever had.
7. mac and cheese was so grainy they didn't seem to know how to make the roux and make it smooth.
8. the chicken was cooked with the spices so thick on it they burnt and left the worst taste in my mouth.
9. ATTITUDE! After eating a pinch of the ends went back and asked for my money back, they attitude out of full grown adults was disgusting.

Definitely have told our friends to stay clear...

We visited Mammoth Barbecue because of the superlative compliments in the other reviews. People wouldn't rave about the food at a restaurant that sucks, right?

That's definitely the case here. I told the owners that the blackened chicken is life changing, and I meant it. I've been eating chicken all my life and I didn't know it could taste so good. The Cuban brisket was also fantastic, maybe not "best I've ever had" like the chicken, but still amazing and one of the best briskets I've ever had too. We also had some sides (coleslaw, Mac and cheese, and poutine), which were all good and complemented the food well.

Come here and have the blackened chicken, do yourself a favour. Play some corn hole...

The food was absolutely disgusting, I ordered burnt ends they served me a order of them which looked like a takeout container of mini hasbrown cubes. They were burnt to hell! Tasted terrible zero sauce or glazing on them , beyond terrible experience... burnt ends are 1.5"x1.5" - 2"x2" cubes not diced the size of hashbrown cubes and cooked till they were burnt black as black could get... than asked for sauce and got attitude from the fella working , ended up throwing them in the garbage , I won't be back. Will also steer my friends and family away from yall. Cheers. Also fYI those flies didn't look to tasty landing all over the meat waiting to go on...
