La Bodega — Restaurant in Dunham

This is a Tapas restaurant, that also serves complete meals.

First, I need to say that I am not one of those reviewers who gives four or five stars as long the food was eatable and the waitress did not spill soup in my lap. To get a five from me, things have to have been really terrific.

The décor and ambience was reasonable and the service adequate.

I had the Croquettes de crevettes. It was so-so. My dinner companions had the Paella Valenciana, which was quite good. I would even recommend it.

The allongé espresso was very nice.

But the truly sensational was the lime mojito. The presentation was terrific - chipped ice, mint leaf garnish. And the taste! We're should I start, took us party of 2 to be acknowledged by the hostess after 10 minutes another 5 minutes we got seated. As soon. As we got seated we ordered our drinks immediately and waited 15minutes for them. Our food took over 1hr 15min to finally get it and at that moment the seasonfood pealla was missing our clams they didn't even offer any compensation or understanding. At my departure I voice my miscontent and they told they are sorry but they were really busy but this was just an excuse because look athistory of the reviews and you will see the service is horrible.if you plan to make it a 2hr30min lunch and not get rushed this is the place to be for subpar food. We have been at the La Bodega several times in the past years. And as we have a B&B we sent our Guest to this Restaurant. It was very good in the past. Now we went for a celebration early dinner and have been very disappointed. It took them forever to serve us, even we have been the only Guests as we where early there. Same time they had a family party in the back. Once our Paella arrived, the rice was totally overcooked and the dish was burned. The Owner (wife) didn't care and we felt not welcome because they wanted to have their family party in the back. We had made a reservation, so they could have said no.
