UPDATED REVIEW!!!!
I initially had a fantastic experience at Pizza Palazzo Terwillegar. The food was delicious, the customer service was warm and friendly, and I even received a first-time customer discount. I was genuinely impressed and happy to recommend this place to others, including my husband who was a big fan of a different pizza store. He finally gave in and decided to try this place based on my recommendation.
Unfortunately, our most recent order, which was my third or fourth time ordering, was a complete letdown. We ordered 10 pieces of chicken wings but received only 9. When I called to report it, the response from the staff was careless and unprofessional. The person on the phone didnât seem to know how to handle complaints, and the owner or delivery person (not sure which) was dismissive and rude, saying things like âitâs just one piece of chickenâ and âI canât come back because of the distance.â
Itâs not about one missing piece of chicken, itâs the principle. A good business would acknowledge the error and try to make things right, not make the customer feel like theyâre being petty for pointing it out. It honestly felt like a tactic; give 9 now and tell the customer theyâll get an extra next time, so theyâre pushed to reorder. To be honest, we assumed our chicken may have been touched or tampered with, so we didnât even eat it.
To make matters worse, the food itself this time was not up to standard. The pizza dough was way too thick, it lacked cheesiness, and some of the meats were undercooked. The flavor was off, nothing like the quality I experienced during my earlier visits. Still, if it had just been a one-off bad meal, I might have let it slide. What really pushed me to leave this review was the poor attitude and lack of customer care.
And to be completely transparent, I know the person who manages the reviews will probably come on here and act overly defensive or give some unnecessary explanation to save face instead of actually taking accountability. But this review is for future customers to be aware. Consistency and respect matter just as much as taste. Sadly, this experience left a very bad impression this...
Read moreJust stopped by PIzza Palace for lunch and grabbed a donair with fries, and a pop. The lovely boss-lady who runs the kitchen makes a mean donair! đ She was happy to take my request for sweet sauce in place of the tzatziki and garlic sauce (though Iâm sure theyâre fantastic), as Iâm much more of a Halifax-style donair guy. Fries were perfect, albeit a little light on the salt. The donair itself was wicked; it had a good ratio of veggies to meat, and it was all grilled before wrapping so it had a very fresh but hearty flavour, that I enjoyed greatly, compared to your typical raw veg donairs. Wrap was tight, so even though it was a huge donair for a large, it stayed together perfectly. 10/10 for taste and presentation.
Only thing Iâd love to see, is a set price for a combo on the menu, with a slightly lower price. I got a lot of food for the money, but $20 for a donair and fries and a can of pop is definitely on the premium side of donair pricing. Not complaining, but would certainly be a plus and would draw a LOT of business, once people discover you folks make an amazing wrap!
We regularly get pizza from this location, and from the Canadian, to the Donair pizza, to the House Special, they really care and make phenomenal food. We will be long time customers of yours and would love to see the business thrive in our community.
Keep up the amazing work, and truly, hats off...
Read moreI travel a lot, when I travel I also eat a lot. I love a good donair, especially a mixed chicken and beef donair with all the fixings and succulent sauces.
I happened to be in Terwilliger and I had a craving. I jumped into this location famished and I could eat a horse two nights in a row.
The first night I just ordered a beef donair, regular, fully loaded - it was loosely wrapped and for the size of it - a little bigger than my fist for a whopping charge of $17. Disappointed.
Second night, just as famished as the first and I was searching for a meal. Pizza is not my calling. Ordered another beef donair, fries, and a Greek salad.
Disappointed once again, Iâm still pulling out aluminum foil from my teeth from the loosely wrapped donair. I had my heart set on a robust Greek Salad with all the fixings - only thing Greek was the dressing. It was filled with lettuce hearts and finely chopped vegetables you would typically find in a house salad. The fries - well thatâs worth talking about. Good fries.
All for $27.
I would have tipped, which is common practice but I didnât get that welcome to our restaurant or a home like experience.
When I did receive my order, all items placed in a brown paper bag with handlesâŚâŚno napkins. I walked back in and asked for a fork only for the attendant to pick a fork up by the plastic tines with his bare fingers.
That really...
