The Odd Spot — Restaurant in Edwardsburgh/Cardinal

The Odd Spot owners, Amy and Marquis, are kind and customer-focused entrepreneurs. Even before the official opening of their Spencerville location, they provided excellent service in helping me select games for my children and as gift. Local pick up was free, fast, and friendly.

I was pleased to bring a large group of friends on their opening weekend. The staff facilitated a fun and engaging game, while we snacked on delicious freshly baked treats and hot beverages. We will return and look forward to adult game nights, with a cocktail in hand.

I have two young children who, after hearing about our night at The Odd Spot, wanted to see for themselves what we thought was a great addition to our community. The kids were very impressed with the made-from-scratch cookies and squares. The hot chocolates were as big as their heads, topped with mounds of whipped cream. No complaints from my men!

This is the most lovely game cafe I have ever visited. We arrived at 10:30am and didn't leave until 10pm. There is a great game selection, excellent service, and we practically had the place to ourselves for most of the morning and early afternoon. It's well set up to not feel cramped, even when it's busier. The owners are usually there and are very knowledgeable about their games. We fell in love with a game that they didn't have and they ordered it for us. Not only was it the most reasonable price around for the game, but it came within two weeks of ordering. At only $5 a person for unlimited stay and play, you really can't afford not to check out...

Our friends were raving about it, and they were RIGHT! The place is gorgeous and cozy, quiet but lively. The staff is lovely and very helpful without being intrusive. The gentleman with the beard was able to explain a fairly complicated game in under two minutes and we understood enough to play the game and have fun with it. The food is nothing fancy but made fresh and delicious (special kudos for the chilli!) And the selection of games is OUT of this WORLD! Altogether, the 6 of us (4 kids 2 adults) spent over 2 hours trying out new games and having dinner for under 130$, ending with a lovely stroll to the nearby river....
