Sutherland's Bakery & Deli — Restaurant in Enderby

The baker here really knows what's up.. strongly recommend the croughnuts as well as the vanilla (or chocolate) bismark doughnut. Or any of the doughnuts I imagine ( I haven't tried all of them but I have tried a few and have yet to have a disappointing one... My only complaint if having one regarding the place would be the cost of the fresh baked goods... The prices are high enough to break the bank(They have a sale rack by the til of yesterdays wares at discount, but still... Too rich to endulge on a regular basis for me). I have really done much shopping in the rest of the store accept purchasing gas and lotto. The store clerks are always pleasant and welcoming. And if your looking for gas later in the evening they are one of the I think 4 or 5 ish gas stations that I know of that are open in between Armstrong , Salmon Arm to Chase. They have a 24hr Pay-at-the-pump (debit and credit friendly). Tho on occasion a pumps card system just simply won't work(twice for me anyway). Very far and few between tho. Could've simply been updating the system.. who knows... Had to switch over to a different pump. But still was able to get gas.. Overall I would say it's a good store with a fantastic bakery and it's ran by friendly people who make coming in a pleasant experience (Even if your spending all your money when u do. Lol)....

When I heard that my friend's family was on a quest to find the best donuts in the Okanagan, I naturally asked her for her stand-outs. I was surprised to hear that it wasn't a hoity-toity local bake house, but a gas station in Enderby. She raved about them! So, on our next trip passing by, we naturally made Sutherland's a priority destination. We loaded up on a good selection, including the Maple Bacon, which was highly reviewed on Trip Advisor. Incredibly, we put three glazed donuts into a brown paper bag, and two hours later there was hardly a grease stain on the bag. These donuts are fried at the perfect temperature! Taste wise: excellent. Not too sickly sweet like you find so often at other bakeries. Sutherland's has achieved superb balance of flavor and sweetness. Even if you're not in the area, I recommend a trip out to Enderby for a visit to what may be the best donuts in...

This is a must go to place. I learned that they still make their doughnuts using the old hot oil technique and travelled all the way from Kamloops to get what goighnuts should taste like. I was please try surprised with all the I house house goodies, doughnuts, bread, buns and cinnamon rolled. I was super surprised with some of the best in house made fresh sandwiches, their pizza is super great, The candy store, the ice cream. Looks Like a regular gas station from the front but you will be amazed whe you walk in the door. Sunday and it was bustling. If you want a great day trip, This is a place to go. Kudos to Joanne and the team. So many happy friendly faces and great to see so many young people working hard, taking pride in their work and smiles. ...
